the country called " East Turkistan" ..but maybe you know the name xinjang its in westchina...we are uygurs...and muslims =]

Thank you for the information! I really like it! I'm going to be going to Kyrgystan this summer, I hope I'm exposed to some of this kind of music.
I'm sure there are many different styles of music because of all the different cultures and influences in that area, but I hope this is one of them that I get to hear.
