dont do this this is wrong u have to first get lots of layers on the top of ur hair,, then you part the top only and start teasing the top layers do NOT tease hair on top of the layers because youll be able to see the knots youll have to tease underneath the strands hope this helps.

another tip (even tho this is an older vid) i wanted to let you know that when you tease the bottom layers they dont have to be flattened down because they are frizzy because once you tease all the way to the top layer no body can see those last few layers.and your tease will be BIGGER! :D
