  • What a voice !

  • This song is very melancholic and nostalgic

  • perfect voice...

  • hahah he looks at the beach ball like "...um...whut."

  • great, so great

  • my second best oasis song but you got to admit that supersonic and slide away. oh and listen up

  • 3:19 Heil Liam!

  • wow its like he switched up his stance mid song and never went back

went from holding the mic to putting his hands behind his back

  • when did noel write fade away? I know it was before definitely maybe, but anyone know what year?

  • why don't you ask him?

  • Most pre 97 Oasis songs were written before Def Maybe. So around 91-93

  • I think it's one of those he wrote when he had time off work after his foot injury, so that'd be around 1992/1993

  • Got to love the bit in the beginning. Liam showing off his footy skills.

  • Nice find, Valuetools! Thanks!

  • fade away should have been on Definitely Maybe

  • @ajrpepperboy89

It should have been on there instead of Married with Children, then the full-band version of that should have been a B-side

  • @ajrpepperboy89 definatly

  • Liam has the best stage presence of any lead singer! He owns that stage!!!! Great performance and I love this song!!!

  • haha primera veez ke veo ke agarra el microfono para cantar

  • solo lo hace cuando ta borracho¡

  • what a preformer! The best of my generation...

  • It's all about that guitar intro!! Theres been other great rock n roll bands.. but these lot perfected it.. absolute genius and along with nirvana they shook the 90's

  • Love Liam's tricks with the ball on the beginning!

Awesome voice and Mad Fer It !!!

  • omg wtf holding the mike! the mic probably didn't go up that high

  • liams actually holding the mike!

  • wasted on the japanese

  • good bless the japanise

    a musicians wet dreams

  • I´ve never see a band who made a b-side like the Oasis b-side.. and the b-side are the base of one band man.. And Oasis.. i dont know man, you have to listen rockin chair live and direct.. Best vocals ever..

its right here on u tube.

    cheers..

  • yeh i am such a big oasis fan to the point of me getting annoyed when people put on the cliche songs.

you can't beat the rare songs - brilliant

  • same i hate when everyones like live forever and wonderwall are the best i like songs like keep the dream alive and stay young

  • by the "cliche" songs I assume you mean Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova. If they annoy you, yer not a real fan, mate

  • "yer".

    ouch, aggressive.

  • Nah I just don't speak English :) Come on you gotta admit CS and WW are the best songs of all time, not just best Oasis songs. Listen to Liam doing Champagne Supernova @ Earls Court in 95 or Wonderwall @ Maine Road in 1996.

  • i admit they are classics, but it's just one opinion against another. it is just frustrating when the following occurs:

    Me: Do you like Oasis?

    X: Yeh I love Oasis!

    Me: What's your favourite song?

X: Err... Probably Wonderwall or Don't Look Back in Anger.

Me: Oh right, do you know any others?

X: Erm yeh, Wonderwall and a few more.

but hey, maybe I'm just snobby....:-P

  • spot on mate!

  • @beve12 I know what you're tryin 2 say, live forever was voted best song of the last century or sum shit....and it is fuckin powerful man, whereas to me, wonderwall is a good song.....I just dont consider it 2 b a GREAT song, way overplayed in comparison 2 a lot of their other songs when u consider the shit thats played by other bands constantly on radio, tv etc but hey.....thats the media 4 ya

  • wow.. that's powerful

  • THATS OASIS BEST BAND IN THE WORLD "!!

  • i love it this how gd oasis r they can just through away great b sides like dis were other bands wud love 2 hve b sides like dis 4 singles

  • They not even b sides. Oasis just do double a's as far as I'm concerned. They captured a generation, all my best memories have oasis playing in the background. They just so fkn good

  • Such a great song, unrecognised, but brilliant. In a way I appreciate songs like this and other b-sides such as "Talk Tonight" and "Rockin' chair" more than such singles as "Wonderwall" and "Don't Look Back In Anger"

  • I completely agree with you! The B-Sides are much more complex and brilliant! The singles are great as well, of course, but there's something about the B-Sides that just capture my breath!

  • Complex? This is a huge rip off of 'Im your man' by Wham.

Great song all the same but complex, no.

I remember getting this on a 'Select' free demo's tape about a year before it saw the light. Also remember seeing them play it live in Hull back in 94. cocky fuchers even back then.

  • yeah but then again you did used to have a jossle over Andrew Ridgley you fookin twat.

    madferit

  • Wham i dont really think so but whatever floats your boat

  • Just heard the song you say by Wham, and the songs is very different from Fade Away. I don't knwow how you can see a rip off here(paranoiac...?)

  • Just heard the song you say by Wham, and the songs is very different from Fade Away. I don't knwow how you can see a rip off here(paranoiac...?)

  • Sorry, my mistake. The song by Wham is called 'freedom'.

Take a look and im sure you'll agree the verse is a huge rip off.

  • Ah, this time it's ok, there's a little rip off.

But it doesn't change the fact that the result, this song, Fade Away, is great to listen to.

But you're ok man, freedom and fade away look alike.

  • @leejshack: there are only so many notes, so many combinations, especially limiting down to what works in a pop song environment. Therefore you could take any verse and see its "rip off" from any song to another.

Thats pop music, thats the beauty of it, it slowly evovles, anyone can do it, and it makes us feel amazing!

    Best Oasis song ever!

  • You're right. Not much, though. Great song, nonetheless.

  • His voice was so much better back then. You can make out every word, Brilliant

  • them were the days, oasis b-sides are mint, specially eith a big fat spliff

  • I love the part with the ball in the beginning, great vid

  • good times!

  • Liam's voice was unbelievable back then. Fantastic.

  • Yeah these are some very good videos. Safe.

  • Simply amazing. Cheers for uploading the videos; they're crytsal clear quality!
