Derren Brown is absolutely right in what he is saying here- I agree with him 100%. The one thing that kind of bothers me is that he uses many of the techniques he disparages here in his own show. For example, when he "predicted" the lottery- he most likely just used a camera trick (look up Derren Brown lottery for more info). He obviously didn't predict the lottery numbers, and he conveniently only showed his prediction after the numbers had been called for "legal" reasons. A bit of a hypocrite.

I think that part 3 deals with where they both admit that they are completely indoctrinated into some major religion, and really think that everything has a divine origin. So we aren't allowed to see it. Ha ha.

Market research has shown that if you let someone watch something and then cut a part out - that person would be so irritated because they will want to watch the missing part. The only way that person can watch the missing part is when the owner decides to show it - IE Channel 4. It's simply a way to get more viewers.

For what it's worth, there was nothing particularly different or insightful in the missing part - it's not like Derren performs some show-stopping trick in those few minutes. You have 90% of the conversation, the missing part is nothing special.

You can circumvent censors like that via proxy's. Just google youtubeproxy, copy the url into the box there and view the vid at your leisure.

Derren Brown is absolutely right in what he is saying here- I agree with him 100%. The one thing that kind of bothers me is that he uses many of the techniques he disparages here in his own show. For example, when he "predicted" the lottery- he most likely just used a camera trick (look up Derren Brown lottery for more info). He obviously didn't predict the lottery numbers, and he conveniently only showed his prediction after the numbers had been called for "legal" reasons. A bit of a hypocrite.

@captainj84 Just taking out the one par*IS* strange. I saw Part 3, and there was nothing in it that seemed out-of-place or wrong for broadcast. This is just two men talking about a kind of theater, really - pretty tame current affairs stuff.

@salvagebar The idea is to stop people watching the whole thing. Market research has shown that if you let someone watch something and then cut a part out - that person would be so irritated because they will want to watch the missing part. The only way that person can watch the missing part is when the owner decides to show it - IE Channel 4. It's simply a way to get more viewers.

For what it's worth, there was nothing particularly different or insightful in the missing part - it's not like Derren performs some show-stopping trick in those few minutes. You have 90% of the conversation, the missing part is nothing special.
