My daughter will graduate HS this year but I will be paying school tax as long as I live in the district & I'm happy with that. It pays for other kids in our area to get the same education she has; others before me paid so she could have a good school whether they had children in school or not. Our community is very proud of our schools. We are not a rich town but we are teaching our kids responsibility with the 3 Rs. We also teach them there is no such thing as a free lunch, for HS or college.

My daughter will graduate HS this year but I will be paying school tax as long as I live in the district & I'm happy with that. It pays for other kids in our area to get the same education she has; others before me paid so she could have a good school whether they had children in school or not. Our community is very proud of our schools. We are not a rich town but we are teaching our kids responsibility with the 3 Rs. We also teach them there is no such thing as a free lunch, for HS or college.

But what you're either ignoring or conveniently forgetting is that the native populations of mainland America, Alaska, and Hawaii only accounts for about 1.2% of this country's total population. Which means that over 98% of this country's population is made up of non-natives and their descendants.

@JimyRoss I've worked with people who wouldn't work more than a certain number of hours at a job because getting paid more would prevent them from getting welfare, food stamps, and housing payments. They get almost everything back at tax time, and yet they get full access to the same public services illegal aliens are "stealing." And this doesn't cause an uproar because they're "citizens." The only difference between the two groups is where they were born.

I think some of you should go back and read The Declaration of Independence of 1776. The founder fathers of our constitution had the dexterity to discern the unalienable rights that belong to a person which include Life, Liberty and pursuit of Happiness. Well maybe the real reson you didnt get a schoolarship was not because of the group society has placed you, but indeed it might be because you did not qualify academicly speacking! That is another posibilty... See all of my friends are white IB/AP students and all of them went to college paid by the Gov. @biologyjose Ha! I pull a 3.84 GPA in college and did even better in high school. And last I checked they don't do IQ tests for scholarships.
I didn't get any grants because my parents (who have not supported me financially) made too much. I had to work 4 years to make enough for two years tuition then another two while taking a full load of courses to get me by until I could file my FAFSA as an independent.
Try to not be so narrow minded. And for the love of God please spell check!

New Jersey requires residents 6 points of identification to renew your drivers license now. But they now are in the planning stages of giving illegal aliens drivers lic. LABOR includes all the people able and willing to work.... Most americans have the ability, however the conjuctions AND indicates that both restrictions must be met.. Americans are not willing to work. Thus it is ilogical to stablish a causation between illegal aliens and unemployment. Immigration/Emigration is a constant pattern throughout history which is not mutually exclusive in America. This is going on worldwide and the nations that have moved toward upward mobility have been pushed through widespread education, not by blocking it out and expecting the problem to just go away. And the view that law is an infaullable entity is false, law has been used to manipulate many things including immigration. Just look at the Johnson Reed Act of the 1920s.
