But I also listen to good music like Slayer, Megadeth, Old metallica, iron maiden, judas priest. And like most metal heads. I still absolutely hate when bands think that metal=screaming and distorted guitars. -_- Metal is a style of music. Not an instrumental sound. Black Tide was metal, Now they are Nu Metal.

The big problem with Blacktide is the guitar.The first album contains a lot of good guitar solos but not the new one and they will lost a lot of fans because of that.

@imortalones It's also easy to tell good fans from shit fans. They evolved and are a little bit different from their last album, it happens with every single other musical artist. The only ground-breaking difference I can hear is in Gabriel's voice, and well thats simply the difference between sixteen and nineteen.
Bands have to adapt and create new styles to be successful. Obviously their not going to play 80's metal....Its 2012...Tool.
