for the longest time I thought that only Pavarotti could do this justice. But after hearing Bocelli perform, WOW!!! I'm a fan of both singers...I like Pavarotti's raw power, but I also like Bocelli's brightness. Try as they might, Carreras and Domingo couldn't match "The Mighty Pavarotti."

I am not a big fan of A. Bocelli.  He has a very small voice, and for a piece as Nessun Dorma, he lacks the power needed. He seems to struggle with it. A somewhat pinched tone

The difference that i see is that Pavarotti has just slightly more power in his voice, most likely due to his size...but i enjoy the chorus version when it comes into play...somehow that makes a difference to me...BTW, i previously heard Mario Lanza's version in the movie "Serenade' which is played here in youtube...but with him he shows hammy expressions, possibly due to the movie script, which for me takes it away from his version.
