  • SO SORRY----- I hope I didn't make Shakespeare blush

  • 0:13 "him and his brothers"?? ouch, let's try "HE and his brothers" next time....nice playing btw.

  • who's the 'seabass kick his ass' on drums? he grooves pretty good

  • Muy buena improvisacion en el organo - Very good improvisation on the organ

  • Who is the gutarist ? He his the bettest musician of the group and he plays very , very well !!!

  • Where is that place they playing at?

  • I like this

  • First of all, who plays a ham without pedals????? I hope you've gotten better and have open up. I've been playing since 2001 and I know great from aight.

  • so true guys...search gospel organ....u'll see them as young as in the "preteens" put'n a royal hurt'n on the much older guys. a couple of yrs back...the was a 7 yr old on the b3 who'd blow ur mind if u heard him!

  • Too bad the guitarist wasn't in the video, was he shy??? Hope the radio station made some money, didn't seem like much of a crowd. Nice little group, Bravo!

  • Very nice Robbie!

  • Very nice guitar solo!

  • FABULOUSITY!!!!!!!!!!!

  • very good, but why did you put 'age - 18'? kind of strange... great playing though!

  • Very nice!

  • Great playing.

But that is a C3, indeed.

  • @Strandlie Yeah, I was lookin at it like, that is NOT a B3 lol. Great playing nonetheless.

  • Very crispy and very deliberate

    Love it , sir

    Johnny

  • Looks like a C-3

  • Very good 5*****

  • impressive musicianship!!!

  • I'm just wondering, where are the base foot pedals? Other than that, great performance.

  • The bass pedals on 'most' full size hammonds arent physically attached. The organ just sits on top of the pedalboard. They are not needed as you can play bass lines with your left hand and get the same sounds with proper drawbar settings

  • Sounds good fellas. I can hear the love through the music. Keep it going, bros!

  • holy shit there are a lot of jealous, small

minded people out there. If you don't

like it then just watch something else

    bitches.

  • You forgot to tell Hank Garland.....also the late great Mel Brown was in Waylon Jennings band....YeeeeeeeHaaaaaa!!!

  • Great job!!!!

  • Might want to change those titles dude. You may have been 18 Year Old Robbie when you originally posted this but that was back in August 2006!!!!

Change it to Young Robbie Benson - musical Genius and 'ONLY 21 YEARS OLD!!!!

Naah... doesn't have the same ring to it, does it?

  • Oh yeah ur right cause as the ppl get older they also get older IN the video!!!

    idiot!

  • Good onya Robbie! Great playing pal. Just watched it again and still dig it. You gotta be what?... almost 21 now? How quickly time flies....

  • NickPycks6: Errrr..... that would mean he's not 'self-taught', Nick.

  • Boy: Errrr.......that would mean Robbie's dad is not 'self-taught'

  • Comment removed

  • Robbie, is that your Dad at the beginning of the video? I'm sure I read on another one of your videos that you were 'self taught'. How's that work? Or did you just never 'listen to your dad'? Great playing but cut the crap.

  • just another comment from a jealous guy... can't believe there's no way to just honor such a great playing without any of those unnecessary comments.

  • Comment removed

  • I certainly respect the playing. He's great. By why say you are 'self' taught' when you've got a father that plays the same instument at the same gig? Seems like someone is trying to mislead the YouTube public in order to gain extra praise to me. Sorry, the constant references to being 'only 18' and to being 'self taught' take away from the lustre of the great musicianship when you realise that his dad is a pro keyboard player too. Do you not get my point?

  • yeah usually "self-taught" people have no influences and never have any help along the way because they live in a cave,

...end sarcasm. This guy clearly enjoys playing the organ, regardless of you being on a personal mission to "find the truth". maybe you should solve the JFK assassination next

  • What if it was Robbie who taught his dad?

  • very soulful dude! awsome job!

  • c3 solid sides, but same gut wrenching sound! you all know what i mean! the guitar kicks!

  • Sweet jam. I was improvising to it on my guitar.

    shizo - 25 years old :D

  • Seems kind of goofy to always profess your age before you play.

  • He is answering my question.Whats goofy about that?

  • Seems to be advertised in quite a few places.

  • I think it is great that people know that soul organ jazz is still being studied by the younger crowd.

  • Robbie, I really love what you do and encourage you to keep at it you've got a real talent ...but I have to say, could you drop the constant references to being '18 Years Old'? No one really cares. All the audience is interested in is how you play and sound. Constantly mentioning your age on every one of your clips makes you sound like a talent quiz contestant or a carnival freak. Leave it out. But keep up the great playing man! And I mean 'MAN'!

  • Who stole the Pedalboard?????? it's not an Organ without Pedals ....

  • no hammond b3 ma c3!!!

  • Its hilarious...notice he is still playin the non-existent pedals...lol

    Great job though!

  • That's a C3.

  • good cover of this eugene mcdaniels classic.

  • This kid is real good

  • hey love the b3. keep the funk flowing! The Bridge - Like a bass line in a ballet class.

  • Very nice! Great job!

  • Is this supposed to be the Roberta Flack tune?

  • Yup Yup

  • Thanks. What's up with the helium? Also, you got some good favorites -- the jazz tunes and how to play 'em.

  • this was incredible adding to favorites for sure.

  • I was expectng it to say 18 on his shirt. Maybe a birthday badge or something.

  • excellent playing, very tasteful

  • Nice work fellas.

  • love this tune. its so smooth!!

  • Thats a C3, not a B3...

  • nice of Steven Segal to turn up and drum for Charity

    What a good man..... :)

  • lol

  • hahahaha

  • why you guys keep informing the age of Robbie. He is 18. ok. Congrats. Other pianists were much better than Robbie at the ages of 15, 16 17. The age is not important. Don't you guys realize that?

  • Ah man I thought they were gonna do some Bad Company.

  • Hahaha, so did I.

  • me three

  • At first glance I thought the title of the tune was "Feel like making love to an 18 year old"...better clear that up robbie.

  • lol

  • Where's all the moshing?!

  • is he also playing bass with the right foot?

  • That foot is probably on the volume control pedal. If he were playing bass pedals, you would see them clearly.

  • Nice Sounds.

  • Awesome...I too play but I'm 60.....that's good stuff nobody how old you are!...Looks like you are blowing on an A-100...or maybe C-3...have you tried any of the clones....Roland Cx-3?....XB?...just curious what you think of them...

    anyway...just excellent playing!!..great vamping...and lead work

  • dude, you've been bragging about the fact that you're 18 for years now. i'm 20 and i play that shit with more soul all day. get over yourself man, you're a dime a dozen

  • Nice work. I did the whole 'Feel Like Making Love' video at 18 too - mine only lasted 2 minutes though lol.

  • B-3 rules no matter how old you are. I'm 68!

  • that's true i'm 15,

  • hey, some nice guitar too - even if he was completely out of shot!

  • I love this oke a lot of *********stars

  • since u mention it, u do sound 18

  • You play well, but I don't understand why it's important that we know your age. Your music will speak for itself, regardless of your years.

  • Good point. On the other hand, he's probably gotten more acclaim because of the "age 18" thing. Inevitably, the music will speak for itself, though.

  • When did u start playing? Ur great

  • nice, but i am 13, i could do that. i just dont have $30,000 to buy a b3

  • Hahaha! Well do some gigs and save up that money. I bought both my C3 and B3 just before 2000 and the C3 was only $3500...the B3 $4500. Check out ebay.

  • ha ha, ebay, love it!

  • Try a clone...They´re cheeper.

  • you play like a seasoned 50 year old i can't believe you're only 18 i am impressed and if you got compliments from the great tony monaco this is a direction you should go.

  • Chevere contigo, I liked it a lot, you play very nice, and the sound is very soft, cool. Although I don`t know so much about jazz I love it, it`s just great. And it´s good to know that as me, there`s joung people that like it too. Continue doing this, you are very good, good luck

  • smooth jazz! love it!

  • I had a C3 like that when i grew up a 57,with the quatrefoils.Great!

  • nice stuff pal!

  • Very nice playing. Until I heard the percussion, I thought that was a CV or C2. I never knew C3's came with the quatrefoils on the woodwork.

  • My dad's band always embarrasses me too when I sit in. Been doing it for years! Nice chops... show some excitement eh? 4 stars.

  • WoW.!! lol Fantastic NEVER STOP PLAYING EVER!!! keep going and going and going! :D

  • This is... BIG !!

    Love it...

  • Man, You're fantastic. The whole music is great!! And if the biggest, greatest TONY MONACO has posted a comment like this, You MUSTN'T stop playin that good-old C3 :D

  • Awesome. I like how the dollies are still on there. I also like how you tap the imaginary bass pedals.

  • Robbie,

Have you heard Jimmy Smiths' version? You remind me of me at your age! Keep going man, I say you must young man :-)

    Tony Monaco

PS. Put this video up on the group. I like the fact that you stayed in you element.

  • Was that you even PLAYING robbie? why is there a cougar on your head?

  • Wooooooh!

  • your "the man" Rob!
