  • All I wanted to do was learn how to cook!!

  • I watched Apocalypse Now in 1979 when it opened in theatres... Haven't seen a better movie since then.

  • well, it's fun to watch but it's pretty far from being a realistic depiction of the war, let alone a serious movie.

  • Sums up the feeling of American soldiers during the entire vietnam war

  • Apocolypse now

  • Damn Brando freaked me the hell out in this movie.. hes the horror element of the film! Good movie, and can someone tell me the genre? is it action horror?

  • Kurtz got off the boat, he split from the whole fucking program ...

  • "I didn't get outta the god damn eighth grade for this kinda shit!"

  • Martin Sheen-Apocalypse Now

    Charlie Sheen-Platoon

    Emelio Estevez-The Breakfast Club

    lol

  • after playing bad company i have to say this guy must be haggards father lol

  • LA VA Westwood was doing forced experiments in 1999, injected me in 2001 was a federal agent or one working on FDIC associated murders. I should never have gotten out of the truck at LA VA Westwood on 4/22 or 4/23 of 2001. Mobile Audit Club, google me

  • May be the greatest film ever made about war and what it does to the mind.

  • i just wanna cook..i just wanna cook man..lol

  • NO That has nothing about your favourist word ''f...''. I m not communist , It 'sjust my neighbor lol

  • @phiphi123321 ENGLISH, MOTHERFUCKER. DO YOU SPEAK IT?

  • @Spitfirebird I've watched that film.Absolutely a great movie.

But for me it's really more than a film. because i can see a different image of Vietnam (at least in the eye of the americans).

I don't speak well english so i guess that makes misunderstanding..

  • @phiphi123321 Sorry if I caused any offense. I was quoting another film in my previous comment.

I agree, Apocalypse Now is one of the greatest films I'm ever seen.

  • @Spitfirebird Thank you for reply.

  • All I wanna do is fucking cook!

    hahaha

  • kurtz got off the boat...

  • @diztanguy yeah in more ways than one

  • Cheif " Chef! What happened!? How many in there!?

    Chef " A FUCKIN TIGER!!!!!!!

The look on Chefs face when he yells it makes me laugh everytime. One of the heavy classics.

  • In the Army Reserve in Vancouver we used FN 7.62

and WW2 teletype machines (signal corps)

  • too many of us were on the edge without even knowing it..I know exactly how Chef felt..even when things were quiet you were constantly on the edge of a complete meltdown..and the smallest thing could start the reaction..very powerfy scene..

  • @here4family Where did they send you? I can tell by your comment you've seen it. I finally had my "Chef tiger meltdown" in a psychotherapy institute in 1998 and it took them 8 trained male nurses and 4 security guards just to get me into the jacket. I ended up spending ten months there when the average stay was three. To think so many are on that same precipice is scarier than the war was. Somedays the only thing that looks attractive is the barrel of a gun.

  • @tyme4mike I'm a 25 year old, irish, video game nerd who's fav film is apocalypse now. I see a comment like this on my video and I feel the need to say something, but what can I say to someone who's likely had more life experience then I will ever have , 4 times over. I thank you for your dose of reality on my video anyway, I think more people need to be aware of the true realities of war and its cost. The Vietnam War was truly a dark part of American history.

  • @here4family were you in a constant state of anxiety like you just needed a drink to feel normal?

  • stole the surf board too...wayyyy tooo funnnnyyy...

  • kurts left the boat.... he split from the whole ******* progam. best line in the world

  • What's the difference between the redux and the original?

  • they get to have sex with the bunnies. pretty much it. (actually theres about an hour of extra)

  • @bigsword33 plus the french people

  • man, LOVE the way you snuck that little ending in there!! Timing is genius!

  • great scene...really shows metaphorically how psychologically damaging war can be (especially in jungle warfare like Vietnam)

  • yupp

  • An M16 is alot heavier than you think.

  • An M16 only weighs 8 pounds.

  • An M1 is a beast and weighs in at 9.5 lbs. People have the idea that the M16 is a black plastic rifle, but it's pretty substantial feeling in your hands. The newer M16s have the thicker barrels and with a full magazine weigh almost 9 lbs. That is a load considering the amount of gear the modern soldier has to carry.

  • That is not load. That's a fucking gallon of milk. God damn. What are you, made of balsa wood?

  • Trying carrying 80lbs of gear and a rifle 16 hours in full armored BDUs and 115 degree heat. I worked on the flight deck so I don't know but it sounds like it sucks. I know lugging our gear around all day from jet to jet sucked. Maybe you should try it sometime.

  • I carried 80lb packs through the Utah mountains when I was 16. I had two legs amputated and a bad case of the clap and I was still able to cover 5,436.53 miles in a day.

You are a fucking pansy. No wonder they kept you on the pussy deck.

  • You covered 5400 miles a day...................and you expect me to believe that........... That would be the equivalent of walking all the way across the United States and halfway back again. You realize this I hope. Avionics Technician was a fun job. I got to work on radars, displays, all the ant. and radio equipment. I got to load rockets, missles, and bombs, and test the release systems. All and all a pretty full day. Must have been really bad clap for u to get your legs took off.

  • Of course I expect you to believe that. No one ever lies on youtube. It's impossible, what with the new lie detection software. Anyone who tries to lie is shot in the eye with a laser from their computer. I would expect an Avionics Technician (TM) to know that.

Thanks for loading those missles. I used to fly jet planes and it was really fun to shoot those missles. I always imagined the people I shot them at looking up at them and then getting turned into black outlines like in the 'toons.

  • In the Navy we are called ATs (imagine that) I can't take credit for loading the ordinance. The AOs did that but when they got swamped (which was all the time) we did help load alot of stuff. My favorite was the 1000 lbs Mk83s. That was the heaviest you could load by hand.

  • I cannot imagine that. It mis too fucking difficult for me to imagine that. I remember the AOs and the ATs, we used to go to the AS and pick up some ACs (awesome chicks) We'd whip out our big Mk83s and flop em around like fake penises. The ACs always got a kick out of that. Then we'd explain to them that each of these could kill 3576 brown people and they'd practically wet themselves.

  • who cares?

  • AMEN TO THAT BROTHER!

  • who cares?

  • Well don't go getting all existential on me now.

  • The new M14's weigh 15 lbs, now THAT would be a bitch to carry.

  • Even with the polymer stocks, and shortened barrels? Interesting.

  • I think it's just the longer ones that are 15 lbs. It's because the body is made of metal and has a bunch of rails on it. I think the shortened version is about 12-13 lbs though, now that you mention it.

  • .308 is my favorite caliber. Much more practical in the open spaces of Afghanistan.

  • Nice. Mine is to 30-06.

  • I don't really own a .308 anymore. I had a Saiga .308 and a PTR-91 (the Saiga was more accurate if you can believe that one) but have since sold both. I do still have my M1 and .30-06 is a badassed round.

  • Yeah Garands are badass.

  • actually, the 16 can swim, if you put floating packs in the stock and handguard. It is pretty much lightweight (the old polymer A1 (VN) versions were)..

  • what movie is this?

  • 1st of all the fact that you had to ask this about one of the most famous movies of all time is amazing. Whats worse however, is the name of the movie IS IN THE DAMN CLIP? How can you watch the clip and not know the name of the movie!? !ts impossible!

  • @TheREALSisko : I agree, it is amazing. That's what you get when you throw pearls before swine.

  • @TheREALSisko shut up man he is propably a kid how he is supposed to know the mega film??he didnt see the references so what?

  • @headcrusher13 It says the name of the film in the video, who watches the 1st few seconds of a video , then stops watching it to post a comment asking the name? Its idiotic. The information is right in his face, Apocalypse Now is plastered all over the screen in related video. People are too quick to demand information be provided to them without thinking for themselves for 2 milliseconds. This is not a good thing. So you shut up, encouraging this is almost as bad.

  • @TheREALSisko you are very detailed in your speech but in the end everything you say is bullshit!!you asked the right question....though ,you dickwid said who watches a film and then stoped it to post a comment??the answer is clear.. one enthousiastic kid!he wants to know right now what is your problem?go and get layed and stop playing the supervisor of the tube.

  • @headcrusher13 lol bullshit? Why would someone stop watching something if they were enjoying it to post a comment that would likely take days to get a response. Age my arse, he'd have to be like 5. Enthusiasm? Wants to know right now ? He'd find out by watching the entire clip or reading the web page thats right in front of him faster then waiting for a reply to a comment. Supervisor of the tube!? HA! Take a step back and look in a mirror. At least I upload videos, all you do is comment'n troll

  • This river is in Laguna Philippines going to Pagsanjan Falls. 16 rapids and many smaller falls. Oh boy! I fell in love with this place.

  • the one thing i dont get is when chef violently takes his shirt off and throws it....

  • Right before that he says, "...I shit my pants..." so I always assumed that he was taking his shirt and then everything else off, so he could wash off in the river...

  • ahahahaha...hilarious!! guilty of laughing but damn it was worth it!

  • You should get Netflix
