Just looking to see if I missed any of your vids...I do see that I had commented on this, something to the effect of "wanting to be in a far off place"...I see by your post date June 27, I thought I may have missed this one, "Little Max" had died the day before on the 26th...I'm still sad :-( ...he was more than just a dog to me. Good one (again) Paul.

P.S. I still going to post that "Country Gentleman" song some day...I really like it...there's still time before the year is out--ha ha.
Nice performance. This piece brings back my old memories Here in Tokyo, we are in the middle of rainy season. It is hot and humid. Best regards, from lute323.
@Gangly1 My firiends overseascall me Hide'. "Hi" pronounces like" he". The chinese character of "hide or 英”means excellent or the abbreviation of England. Best regards, lute323.
Nice one Paul, me and Ali were doing the Tango to this, I had the rose in my mouth, aye yas right there Mucker, nowt worse than having a pair of sweaty mitts to deal with loose bracings eh? we tangoed up the dicky dancers to the blanket show and for some strange bloody reason I turned orange? heh heh! :-)
@Gangly1 The last season of American Idol demonstrated it could do just fine without Simon Cowell. Now, how much will it cost to return Pierce Morgran? We have a serious unemployment problem here.
Hi Paul. I agree with guitar player128. The quality of sound is really outstanding. You must have a condenser mike there. Bright melody, warm accompanying chords. It's all there. Top job.
Thanks my friend. It is my old Oscar Teller (1967) on this piece. It is mellower than the Alhambra. Having said that I did try a Hi and Lo Pass filter in Audacity on this, which seems to have met with some approval. If only I could remember the settings! Just the usual, cheap Hitachi HMP606 mic (£20.00) again.
Viv is nearly done, just trying to get the allegro up to pace. Just about managing at around 108bpm.
I have to agree with the last bit of oldwhtmans comment , regarding this piece ,, am i now a sad ol git that i find this music played on guitar , quite , " hip " !! lol ,, its always a pleasure to watch & learn from your videos ,, cheers ,, dave
Sorry about that. I preferred the mellower sound of the old Oscar Teller (1967) for this piece. It is ok to play for about 45mins, but then develops a vibration caused by a bit of loose bracing. It gets to be like a bumble bee in the background. There was no way I was doing it again on the Alhambra in that heat.
What, no air-conditioning in England? That was too good not to have a repeat. But I suppose it won't kill me to hit the [replay] button. Nobody warned me that I would start liking my mother's music when I got old. Unsettling.
Eh up Mike. Air-conditioning in homes hasn't really crossed "the Pond" yet. It may arrive when we have finished dealing with knife/gun crime, gang-culture, greedy bankers and grand theft auto!!
It gives me a perverse sense of satisfaction that you inherited "The X Factor"...et al, from this side of the Pond. On that point...new meanings for old words....."Countryside" = the unlawful killing of Piers Morgan!
Excellent, Paul. I can never hear this song without seeing Liz Taylor in my mind. This composition is one of the greats from that era. Anyway, very nicely done, my friend.
It is just a very cheap Hitachi HMP606 mic straight into Audacity and then run through a Hi and Low pass filter (do not ask me the settings...I never write them down).
Hope you and Hannah are still making great music. She must be a pro on the bass by now?
Paul. You made my day! Thank you! I love this piece and Ulrik made a great arrangement. And then...YOU play it so well... ahhhhh what can a man more wish for.
And you look great too!
Have a great summer my friend. I will play a concert close to Newcastle in November. Is that close to you? Sure would like to offer you a pint!

Hi Paul,
I hear a growl or feedback that is masking your very fine playing. Is the growl the bracing issue?
Anyway, still enjoyed listening to you.
