I was showing this song to a friend when he said he had heard it somewhere before. Of course I was very curious when he told me there's a song from Avenged Sevenfold called "Nightmare" that resembles the riff from 0:59 - 1:16 of "Prelude". I told him there's no way they have heard FW and make such bad music. He started to laugh and went home. Hope he's allright...

thats John Arch he was on their first three albums "Night on Brocken",Spectre Within" and "Awaken the Guardian" ( i still have these on vinyl lol )

FW set the standard so high with this release that they themselves couldn't even measure up. It's really sad how pathetic their post Awaken music sounds compared to this. Hard to believe it's been 20 years since this release. This release changed the face of metal music ... unfortunately, FW only regressed from here.
