  • In Slavic folklore. Not only Russian :)

  • I really love this track. It´s the first time I listen to this band. My hobby is to rediscover all those great bands from the 60s that didn´t "reach the highest level". It´s a fantastic musical treasure. Listen (Youtube) for example to:

THE ZETTLERS and their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah".

Really really great with a bloody driving beat.

THE GOLLIWOGS and the tune "Tell me". Check up the singer...Yes, it´s him!!!

  • This is a great song I've not listening to for a while, and interesting video, where's it from?

  • @SirStriebGriebling, it's Mary Wigman's dance called Hexentanz... it was done in 1930..

  • My mother used to read the Baba Yaga stories to me when I was a child in Dallas back in the early 60's. Baba Yaga was a witch that lived in house with giant chicken legs so that it was never in the same place if people went to look for it. Slavic folklore to scare kids straight.

  • digging the channel, aces mate!

  • My brother-in-law is the singer in this video so we were delighted to find this on You Tube. His voice has aged like a nice wine as this was sung in 1965. We would love to know anything about this video, anything at all. Thank you!

  • interesting... melodically it's like a precursor to House of the Rising Sun.
