  • There is no way that flours compairs to a 600 watt HPS and definely not 1000 I bet you anything if you used one 250 watt HPS light you would get five times the size of bids you got this time. Trust me!

  • your plants look like shit and need better lighting, period...

  • its not about the lumens only need the right spectum too!

  • OK then... Where are you all today. Jan.12 2012. Whats your thoughts on your post's from 2 yrs ago and what you have done since? eh? Anyone??

  • do u notice da curls n da droopyness on ur plant...dats the light my freind...with even a 250 watt hps u will get much better results...

  • Hps is better mate your plant is thin compared to what hps can do but still its a good grow.400w hps ,my plant stalk is very thick your plant looks stretched a bit kinda airy but it looks healthy

  • hey dood.. nice plants.. what did your N OD look like exactly?

  • hey amigo I think you will yield more like 3oz max off of both plants combined not to bring you down

  • that your floral bulb. that you have in there do not put out a 1000 lumens per. watt

  • I never said they put out 1000 lumens per watt. There is no such thing. I said fluros can put out 100 lumens per watt. Total lumens on my plants are about 35,000 lumens Which are sufficient for my 2 plants. The sun puts out 10,000 lumens per square foot..

  • @kawizx9er My 600 watt HPS puts out 95,000 lumens. A 250 watt HPS probably puts out more than 35,000 or right there at it so how are you saying fluros are better than CFL's and put out more lumens per watt?

  • @hellofosho420 he told you!

  • thows lights aint good 4 ur plants man,i dont hate but hps provide way more useable light for the plants than thows flows,no matter what ur knowledge on the subject u aint gonner get a high yeild from ur plants because ur lights wont allow it.3 * peace

  • I don't disagree with you on the hps, but there was no reason to spend a couple of hundred on a hps set up for 2 plants. I still have 6 or 7 weeks more of flowering. Let's wait and see what they yield me. I will update on here. The best yields come from a mixture of red and blue spectrum. Hps and mh side by side. In my case fluro warm red and cool blue staggered due to the ballast accepting any type bulb.

  • @kawizx9er i use 2-250 watt cfl's 4 supplement lighting i know,hope u get a good yeild thow bro.....cos its shit when it dossent turn out right....peace

  • @kawizx9er u could buy 150 hps for 82 bucks on plug and plant.com......use that for ur 2 plants it should definitely be enough..good luck.

  • How long did they veg before flowering? And were they seeds or clones?

  • They were seeds. I vegged for about 45 days. I could have started flowering after 30 days, but I wanted them as large as I could get them.

  • Total of 5 fluor. fixtures $50, 10 40w 4 foot bulbs $50. Timer $7 . Small fan $8. Power strip, extensions, adapters $15, plus soil and plant food $5, for a grand total of $135. Not bad for what is expected to yield. I predict 8 oz to 1 lb.

  • A 32w T8 HO bulb puts out 3200 lumens. That's 100 lumens per watt. Plus your plant wouldn't burn if it touches the bulb. A hps or mh would have to be at least a foot away. Every foot equals half your lumens lost. But to each his own. If you have a couple of plants for personal use I figure you don't need a fancy set up. If you have 100 plants then a CO2 tank, a few 1000w bulbs, good ventilation, etc. is recommended

  • i rather use cfl's

  • Cfl's will do the job as well, but they are a bit more expensive than fluro's. Reflector and bulb is a bit more than a $20 4 foot fluro fixture w/bulbs.

  • bullshits

  • What is bullshits, may I ask?
