My brother was a Marine and listened to this song all the time when he was deployed to afghanistan. I was heartbroken when we got the news he wouldnt be commin home. He was my hero next to the Lord. And i sang this song at his funeral and i know he was looking down on us all. God Bless all the men and women who serve.

My fiance serves currently, and I can say without a doubt that it is possible to support the troops without supporting the war - as many people in the military don't support the war, but fight because they have given their lives to do what the learders of this nation think is necessary to protect America and American interests. I don't think it makes you a bad American to voice a negative opinion about the war. Not everyone has to agree, but that is what is truely great about this country.

The four gospels. I would also recommend Revelation. Also do a little bit of research on the terms Daystar (sometimes on word, sometimes two) and Morning star. It may take you a while but I am confident you will learn if you try. The bible is a great book, tells a good story, but should be published as fiction.

When we raise our right hand and swear to defend our country we all know that we may very well die for our country in the process, and yet we still do it. Im not trying to disrespect the Soldiers because I think they are brave and its great there standing up for our country but this made me sad because of how ridiculous it is. If we didnt have soldiers out there fighting then there would be something called world peace or at least we would be a lot closer to it then we are now. Point two, not only did Roosevelt know about the Pearl Harbor attacks beforehand, he provoked them when he set up a naval blockade in SE Asia, which did not allow the Japanese to ship their much needed oil/food. Also, Selling military goods to only the Allies is hardly "neutral". And the city Germany initially "attacked" was 90% German, stolen land after WWI.

Russia declared war on Germany because of their ties with Eastern Europe, then France because of their alliance with Russia. My brother was a Marine and listened to this song all the time when he was deployed to afghanistan. I was heartbroken when we got the news he wouldnt be commin home. He was my hero next to the Lord. And i sang this song at his funeral and i know he was looking down on us all. God Bless all the men and women who serve.

This is a wonderful song with a small technical error. B-52s were not used to return soldiers. They were bombers and were never modified for this task. The Lockheed C-130's many versions performed this task during the Cold War era and through this time. BTW, I'm a Vietnam-era vet.

My father is a veteran of the war in Croatia and Bosnia, and told me that it is only faith in God has kept these terrible years of war, and not only him but also all other Croatian soldiers. My fiance serves currently, and I can say without a doubt that it is possible to support the troops without supporting the war - as many people in the military don't support the war, but fight because they have given their lives to do what the learders of this nation think is necessary to protect America and American interests. I don't think it makes you a bad American to voice a negative opinion about the war. Not everyone has to agree, but that is what is truely great about this country.

This is my favorite song right now. It makes me miss all of my buddies that are in the service right now. one of them is going to afganistan in two weeks :( thanks goes out to everyone that is currently serving and has ever served our country!!! pray for you guys every night.

well i like this song alot it has alot of meaning idk how anyone can dislike this video i guess they dont have any respect for the people that go and fight for our lifes n theirs this song is very heartfelt and i dont kno why people have to dislike it or have any bad comments to say about it i know a few people that are fighting for our lifes today most people should have respect for them and not being hating on them im glad we have people out there fighting for our lifes thanks to everyone!!!

i love this song.......i supported the troops and ur family and to all the haters out there you can go burn these guys risk their life for us and for the united states of america and could have the respect they deserves for putting their life on the line.....this song is very heartfelt and i guess some people dont really care about the facts that they risk their life to defend the usa and ppls should really stop hating on them.......

To be honest i dont care if you support us... we made the choice to do what we do if you like it or not... but im not a killer... honestly i never killed anyone.. but ive lost some close friends of mine just recently... only 6 months left in afganistan and i can be with my wife and daughter.. and thats the only thing thats important to me and ill do anything i have to.. to come home to them

this song makes me cry almost every time. it rlly shows how much soldier sacrifice for us. even if it means risking their lives. i mean, some of the soldiers dont see action or anything, but the fact that they were willing to die for us is rlly sweet. thanks!! :)

@countrygirlUSA1000 I use the bible that you believe in to reveal your contradictory beliefs in the bible to today's modern beliefs. Unlike most christian people, I, an athiest, have read much of the bible and attended church for more than 10 years. It's great religious education. Also unlike most christians, I like to educate myself on all sides of a conflict before choosing sides. As far as the bibles that I read, KJV, (King James' Version) NKJV (New King James' Version) as well as others.

@countrygirlUSA1000 How many times does Jesus speak in the bible? He speaks very many times. Maybe you ought to try reading it a little. Try out Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John specifically. The four gospels. I would also recommend Revelation. Also do a little bit of research on the terms Daystar (sometimes on word, sometimes two) and Morning star. It may take you a while but I am confident you will learn if you try. The bible is a great book, tells a good story, but should be published as fiction.

I'm a navy sailor and I absolutly love this song. And as far as I'm concerned that dirtysock guy or whatever his damn name is he can go to he'll cause jesus is real and he looks over my fellow brothers over in the middle east everyday of the week. So while your sitting down at your office job just think that some of us are out to sea or in the desert defending this great country. And if you don't like that maybe you should just leave. And about your Jesus claims, what did Jesus tell you during your oh so sacred conversation? Was it what the angel said shortly after Jesus' birth? "Glory to God in the highest, and on Earth peace, goodwill toward men!" Luke 2:14. Peace on Earth and goodwill towards men is somewhat contradictory to your war don't you think? The Bible is never wrong.

@Dirtysock1967 coming from a girl who's been raised to love her country to death- my grandpa, great grandpa, great great grandpa and currently 2 of my cousins are serving. instead of critizing what soldiers do for you every day how bout you think how much you like your freedom and doing as you please. you want to know my opinion? if you have such a problem with the government and soldiers why are you still here? and Jesus protects our soldiers every day in combat, and is the reason your alive.

First of all..the song is pretty terrible. I can tell you where we'd be without soldiers and jesus. We already are without jesus because he isnt real. And the soldier part well..probly wouldnt need them since we wouldnt be roaming all over the world converting everyone to christianity with a loaded gun. Can you not realize that the military is just an iron fist our government so arrogantly drops on the rest of the world attempting to control them as well as us. Just come home and live in peace.
