  • How does this bullshit have more likes than dislikes.

  • Bull Crap

  • what one shoud i learn aikido or kickboxing

  • @xLW321 aikido bro, cause you could dodge and change positions smoothly and sting like a bee!!

  • I'm 47 now, & i would like to take it. But learning how to fall & breaking the fall would be too hard for me!

  • This is such bullshit it shouldnt even be on utube ;)

  • AIKIDO VS KICKBOXING???? VS KARATE...

  • ow common guys martial arts dont work on a street fight!! remember der r no rules on d streets!! i bet a 10th dan on any style wuld nver survive with a guy having a 10 inchs ice pick!!! he will end up to the morg!!! if you want to defend urself buy a gun!! ha ha!! dont waste ur time in dojos!!!

  • buen video 10

  • i think aikido works rather fine against the untrained, 4da most part. against a trained striker i just see alot of problems. situations they don't encounter in their form of randori

  • Aikido is an excellent form, but it's not intended for fighting skilled martial artists, it's intended for defending yourself in practical situations, and doing so without injuring your opponent- great for dealing with your asshole friend when he gets drunk, or the tweaked-out punk who tries to knife you in an alley, and those are the people you're actually likely to *need* to fight. That said, it is a grappling art, which are hands-down more effective.

  • wheres the kickboxing?

  • aikido is not about trading blows and overpowering like mma. Aikido will allow a weak shrimpy dude to take down a huge mma mussclehead without much force. not all instructors are good. You need to find a master not just the dojo down the street from your house. I dont want many others learning aikido, i have an edge on all mma posers and true attackers , i have a babyface so ppl like to attempt to attack thinking im easy prey..then they go from attacker to ragdoll at my mercy in less than a sec.

  • @jarkjarvis same here :)

  • @jarkjarvis are you speaking from real life experience or dojo theory?

  • the aikido shown here is garbage and doesnt show the wrath and brutalitiy of nasty aikido. Aikido has a few forms from almost a dance(what a monk would practice) to military style tech. For the grappler, Aikido is not about catching a punch or a kick(if youre trying to catch youre not doing aikido) its about blending no grabbing or catching. Its amazing that this information in aikido is even legal to know and teach beacause its brutal and scary in the wrong hands.

  • this is so fake because in real life the kickboxer knocked the crap out of aikido so take this video off!

  • im a grappler...So i wanna hear from all the boxers/& k.boxers would Aikido really work. Calmly ducking from a R.house kick? Why is it the opponent always drives through all his strikes. I was taught 2 snap out my punches in combo's. It always seems like a all or nothing big punch/kick. Is this how boxers/k.boxers do it? Catch a punch in mid air, then spin him around? Seems like u would get ko'd trying 2 catch a punch. I wish every fight was like the 1 in the demo

  • @str8bigr1 yeah you got it dude as a kid i trained similar stuff, got into a fight with a very ordinary striker and got punished shit just doesnt go as planned. as a kickboxer/boxer i have to say even when i fully commit punches i dont fall through them its never just 1 strike without being loaded for another whilst simultaneously mindfull of defence, posture, movement etc

  • @str8bigr1 It's not as simple as it's shown, but grapplers still win. We may train in an idealized world, but body awareness, fluid movements and repetition *are* useful- they train our bodies and our instincts to react in a more sophisticated way. I trained for a year in all kinds of specific techniques, and when I got drunk and someone threw a punch at me, I didn't remember any of them- but I did move to the side and shove him off balance rather than try to meet the force of his attack.

  • @FreakyCheeseMan I am not doubting the martial art... however I study Taekwondo and I have for around 3 years now I have attained and Blue belt in England and I am very proud of my achievements so far.

My question is, a grappling sport vs a fast kicking sport is a bit unfair to say dont you think? I mean judo perhaps is a good contender. I think it is unfair to say "grapplers win" it depends on the individuals training in a specific martial art =]

  • @buffalorifle Sorry, I didn't mean to insult other forms, and yes, of course the individuals level of skill and training matters more. What I said came from something I was told by my Aikido teacher, a very practical-minded man who held a blackbelt in both Kung Fu (primarily a striking art) and Aikido. What he actually said was more along the lines of "All other factors being equal, a s person who trains for X years in grappling will usually be more effective than one who trains in striking."

  • @buffalorifle One thing about this video is don't in kickboxing they throw punches too? I really doubt any grappling martial arts would be able to grapple a boxers punch than again this video those looks like it was just set up.

Aikido still my favorite martial arts though because of the overall idea.

  • @buffalorifle It's not about which art wins! An art is like a tool in that each art has a specific purpose for which it excels. U cannot say that a hammer is better than a screw driver can u? It depends on the job u have to perform. An automobile will beat a horse in a high speed chase. But if the criminal hides in the mountains the horse is much better! Sports are deceiving! An art that wins matches in the ring can put u at risk if used in the wrong situation on the street.

  • @osensei2987 todos saven que gana el kung fu es el arte marcial mas completo xd

  • Wow this is fake! So obviously set up, the guy is falling the opposite way he's being thrown!

Also you can tell that the one being thrown is allowing the throw and jumping into it!

  • @MrBoughtinblood its a demonstration...

  • @eng0 That's about all aikido is good for
