I always wondered what an XK33c was,now I know. It's a combination of a XK3c and a XK1/lower manual (desigined to be place below the XK3c. Hammond also offers 2 stands for it,one is a metal stand,and the other is a wooden stand (which makes the organ combination look like a mini B3) the total cost is about $4700. for the entire package. But it sounds great,and compared to the about $10,000 for a regular B3,this is a steal,and a whole lot lighter,too.
Oh ok. I bought the Concord from a organ dealer and he said that it is better than the B3 also he said the only differance is the flaps that you press down to get differant sounds. Is there anyway to make the Concord sound like a B3 with out buying anything?
@TheNorthernSoulKing ??What kind of dealer is that???If you have a B3,there are many differrences.The sound is more powerfull due to the Tonewheelgenerator.The contact system is far better(Keyboards)The keyboards has the important waterfall keys.I hope he sold it cheap.A B3,or a C3,A100 will allways sound better then a Concorde,but the all needs a Leslie.The Concord is a old LSI Instrument,but you can make it sound better with a real Leslie cabinet.
Great playing. I bought a Concord not to long ago and wanted to know what the drawbar settings would be to make it sound jazzy, Booker T style or like what you are playing? thank you
@TheNorthernSoulKing Well for a Jimmy Smits sound We have Nine Drawbars,Volume is from 0-8.We begin with first Three at max 888 000 000 Upper manual.Percussion Third short,or no percussion.
Lower for chords 0066 000 000 Lower manual.
This is my first default setting on any Hammond or clone.
@Tonewheeldude Can I still get the Jazzy sound as you with the Concord Theater organ? Cause I commented on another video on youtube and he said I bought the wrong organ not sure if he is right or not?
Dude - very impressive... how do you feel about these electronix compared to the 'real thing' ? It sounds the same... does it 'feel' the same? Also - can you tell me the difference between a B2 and a B3 ? Thx.
They are great,especially the New B3,and the the New XK3C XK33C.
Differrence on B3 and B2.B2 came out 1949 and does not have percussion,a bit different vibrato line box,differren preamp AO 21.You can buy a percussion unit from Trekk II to it if you want to add Percussion.
Try NI B4 II and Soundfonts VB3. The latter has an incredibly great dynamic keyclick. I have both AND the (old) XK-3 system which is way better for playing. There is also a brand new keyboard version of the VB3: the Hamichord. Sounds fantastic. At any rate: the XK-3c is already excellent and it's a Hammond. Plus: they all need a real leslie cabinet (internal sim off) to sound great. The difference is unbelievable, trust me.
Great playing! I think Hammond Suzuki got it all right except thr key click - which sounds static and dead. I have an XK-3 system custom built into a foldable B3 cabinet. It sounds excellent through a reaçl leslie. Just the key click isn't quite right - and my fellow musicians notice - so I dial it back to a minimum. Anyhow: Great playing!

@sosmooth7 I agree.But there are some things you also get on the New B3.
The Multi contact keyboards,and also the B3 cabinet..

It was expensive. I hope I can make it sound Jazzy
TheNorthernSoulKing 1 year ago
@TheNorthernSoulKing Well,what is expensive?A nice B3,or C3 is more expensive.At least here.
I sold a Concorde that we had put loads of Cash in,and we did not get more then about 2.500USD!
A nice B3 here would cost you at least 10-20.000USD here in Sweden,if its restored and the
cabinet is in good order!

@Tonewheeldude It cost 20,000 he called a B3-Concord

@TheNorthernSoulKing Also,he is partly right,you wont get a 100% B3 sound,but quite close.
Also,you dont have the mechanical Scanner Chorusvibrato,as in a B3,orC3,A100 etc.
Or the emmulation of it that we have on the New B3,XK3C,XK1 etc./Patrik
Tonewheeldude 1 year ago
@TheNorthernSoulKing Well,buy a good Leslie to it.Thats half the sound.The Internal Leslies are
not as good a a separate.We used a old 760 to it:)

This is like the one you did on the real C3! Awesome jamming, brother!

A very great Hammond blues player but sound is not exactly the same as on the 1st demo on a real Hammond tonewheel organ A100.
organeu 1 year ago
@organeu Because there is no Leslie attached to the XK33C!

You have major hints of Jimmy McGriff (All About My Girl/MG Blues) in you!! Absolutely loved it.
