ok, I got both Grand Cherokee 4X4 and Element FWD. GC is great in snow storms up North East of US. Honda is great on regular roads and "maybe" a very smooth off road. In the video, Ridgeline should have no trouble tow that Element out of mud.
With care and ease of course. You really don't want to yank off the front bumper. But if I really had to live up NE again, I would keep my GC as winter truck and use Element in other seasons.
You fuckin idiots those cars are not made for offroading, now your Axel is going to fuckin give because all the fuckin mud thats fuckin stuck underneath the car cuz i did the exact same thing in 07 and now im paying the price.
I think not much is happening bc it is a FWD truck :/. I think honda has the only FWD truck ever made. THis person should have atleast gotten the AWD version.
The Ridgeline can barely go off-road let alone an Element. They are excellent vehicles, but not designed for off-roading. Jeeps, Toyota's, or Land Rovers would be better choices..
@RaceMyLS1 Can barely go? No vehicle is "designed" as you say for off road. All suvs and trucks are street going vehicles also. Imagine a $50,000 tahoe off road. How quickly could you destroy one?
@kevintomb Lets see, Ford Raptor specifically designed for driving off road, Dodge Power Wagon stock: 12,000lb warn winch, electronic disconect stabilizer bar, front and rear electric lockers, full skid plate, 33"BF Goodrich tires and a few other toys. I think that sounds sorta like a truck "designed" for off road use.
@44652700 No, they are ALL specifically designed to drive on roads first and foremost. Thats why they have comformed to all government restrictions, and guidelines for street driving vehicles. Those trucks you mention are simply outfitted with MORE equipment that is perhaps better off road, but the basic truck is still a street legal and regulated vehicle. Off road vehicle is an ATV, a dune buggy a Baja truck and so forth. All the things you mention are simply overpriced street trucks with stuff
@RaceMyLS1 No vehicle is "designed" for off road. I used to own a stock jeep wrangler, with stock tires and all it could barely move in any mud. A jeep is capable of being MODDED to be be better off road, but off the dealers lot, pretty much all SUVs are not very capable.
Yea if your going to buy a TRUCK make sure its a solid axle in the rear. I like the look of the ridgeline, but fully independent suspension is not good for hauling or for offroading.
you don't "tow" with that hook up. It's a "snap strap"... Let out a little slack, give it some gas and pop it while the lil' Element steps on it too. Element shouldn't have been it that mess anyway. LOL Like the car, but it's not built for 4wheelin' esp. muddin' LOL
when i got my AWD E 5sp,we were in western mass, near the conn river, and a guy in a chevy pickup was stuck in the mud.. he had all the big tires and such, so he asked me if i would try to pull him out.i laughed so hard..then we hooked up the strap to my tow ball, and after the third pull, getting some slack in the strap and then yanking hard,,we pulled him out.any ways, the guy was stunned. he handed me 20$. and walked away scratching his head.mud flying off of all 4 tires.
im screwing you mamma in the ass right now as im writing this reply. this must be her first time doing anal shes pretty tight in the asshole. i think when i pull out ill have her suck my dick next. you faggot musicbitch.
btw.......American cars are a pieceo of shit....the only good american cars are 60's Muscle cars with gas guzzling V-8's. Watch the new V-10's comming from Asia they'll leave ur POS car in the dust.

Geeze man. I got enough sense to keep my element out of the mud. Off-road for an element is like a dirt road or something.

Did you see hear the Rideline's engine straining? Haha. Typical Honda crap.
hotmail808 3 years ago
ok, then go buy those great american cars and watch them loose their value by the minute.
There's tons of late 90's honda models on the streets...any americans of the same age on the streets?....no..oh that's what I thought.
alexedit1 3 years ago
Bullshit post. There are no late 90's American cars on the street? Whatever, douche bag.

The argument is about the weakness of the Honda, not the durability. They are sucky off road vehicle, both of them.

are you retarded you got that horrible truck over the tacoma the ridgeline is shit
Buhundred 4 years ago
Is it just me, or did only the front wheels of the ridgeline spin?
a1mint 4 years ago
it probably doesnt have a locking rear dif and the right rear tire is spinning but not the left
Chapstick050 4 years ago
The ridgeline has an electronic rear diff. It only locks if the driver had the button pushed.
rkj4107 4 years ago
Yes, it has the same 4WD as the Element. Front wheels drive, viscosity to power rear.

I think so. If it had Real Time 4WD, it should have made it through. What about the rigdeline, it just spun it's tires!
