Korea has been dominating bboying from 2002 till now, but i think mind 180 is the best american battle peformer against a korean crew.., this is my opinion though.
Plenty of people use the pose but not the entire movement. It's not that just. People call bite when they see their own stuff used by other people. Original or not you always show people that's what you're known for.
How many times has Born called bite for a mill to sidechair spin? Plenty. Was he the first to do it? No.

to me, this battle was one of the best ive seen so far, win or lose, both crews gave a big showdown and the ppl gave engery to them which made the battle even better, they both made history showing wat they got representing frm thier country. and yes ill admit i though rivers was gona win, bt hey i enjoyed it and learn at the same time. tadah!
To be honest ... i think rivers killed this part .. but in part 2 mind 180 got to the better of them.... rivers needs more killers moves ..maybe if physicx did elbow spin ..the place will go crazy . great battle ..loved the music and crowd was good.
well guys, judges who are alot more informed and more educated about bboying and people who have sacrificed more for the dance have said that Mind 180 are the winners. Occasionally, judges fuck up but i dont think they screwed up this time. Mind 180 is good.
Riverz also did rly well. but Mind 180 was ill as hell.
I went into watching this battle thinking that Rivers were gonna smoke them but instead as the battle progressed, Rivers just kept looking defeated. The real defining moment in my opinion was when Casper flipped off the stage and instead of ignoring him, Physicx jumped off the stage and basically gave up his set. Stupid move and really showed who was in control the whole battle.
@ThisAznGuyyy Physicx could've ignored him as the judges would've ignored it as well but by trying to best him, and then losing your spot on the floor it shows who won at that point.

I admit this was a beast ass battle, but Rivers should of won. The point of crew battles is to show what you can do as a crew, and Rivers was always rockin fresh with dope ass routines, where Mind 180 only owned during single sets.
Maybe it's just a personal preference, but if I wanted to see good one person sets, I'd watch one on ones or two on twos, but in crew battles, the crew's skill as a whole should define the winner, not each person's skill.

Rivers kept crashing in some of their routines and after the routines when someone had to showcase their solo stuff, it was not as fresh as Mind 180's.

So, if you think that Rivers are only doing "memorized" sets and routines. That is an ignorant opinion. How can you perform sets without memorizing? @escierda Also, Mind 180 is a super crew with many great bboys from a variety of different crews. Being honest, it wasn't of a fair battle since if Korea had a super-crew like Mind 180 (that was allowed to compete), the would wreck any crew aside from M.Z.K. Perhaps 7 Commandoz, FLGZ, and some other crews.

Great battle, i would like to see Mind 180 or even Skill Methodz in the international boty. Why were they calling bite on that move? Born isn't absolutely the only person who does that. I've seen alot of people do that same move where they roll out off of their backs or shoulders onto one arm.
Personally I think Rivers Crew was MORE entertaining than Mind 180. Just how many applause that the Mind 180 crews get from the audience and it isn't just about that. Mind 180 crews moves are inconsistent and a bit sloppy compared to Rivers Crew. But Mind 180 crews won the battle, so, hands down.
What do you want? a Bipartisan crowd that Goes apeshit over anything the Korean team does....rivers does the team thing better, but one to one broken down Mind 180 takes it.

Personally I think Rivers Crew was MORE entertaining than Mind 180. Just how many applause that the Mind 180 crews get from the audience and it isn't just about that. Mind 180 crews moves are inconsistent and a bit sloppy compared to Rivers Crew. But Mind 180 crews won the battle, so, hands down.
