Hows that 204 on the p.d. I like the idea of a 4000+ fps 40gr bullet. lots of potential. and pretty safe for anything down range. I have heard that the bullets come apart if they hit sticks, weeds and the ground. Not too much worry of a ricochet.

I have used a 50BMG to shoot a couple PD and I was not that impressed with it. Sure they came apart but not quite the same way when you hit them with a bullet that is desighned to come apart like a light 6mm slug. Still very cool thoug. I will save my 50 rds for Yotes and deer criters. I will use my 223, 22-250 and 6mm BR for PD. I am going to load some shells for the upcomming weekend for shooting some dogs. have a good one.

actually the last time we went out we did use a 270 short mag with a nice barrel break so it has no recoil. You could still see them blow up in your scope!

actually we do hunt deer and what not. But now the stupid environmentalists put an end to prairie dog shooting in some areas to try to up the population of some other animal they released. Well anyway now since the population wasnt controlled they developed some plague and now there all dead!!! its like not harvesting deer for even just a year, the population's going to get so high and they're going to go hungry, get sick and die. So dont just asume were just poppin pop cans, theres a reason.

Hows that 204 on the p.d. I like the idea of a 4000+ fps 40gr bullet. lots of potential. and pretty safe for anything down range. I have heard that the bullets come apart if they hit sticks, weeds and the ground. Not too much worry of a ricochet.

I have used a 50BMG to shoot a couple PD and I was not that impressed with it. Sure they came apart but not quite the same way when you hit them with a bullet that is desighned to come apart like a light 6mm slug. Still very cool thoug. I will save my 50 rds for Yotes and deer criters. I will use my 223, 22-250 and 6mm BR for PD. I am going to load some shells for the upcomming weekend for shooting some dogs. have a good one.
