  • thx this should help me on my project

  • Great job girls in research and passing it down to pleople that don't know the history about those camps

  • There were a few archival clips I had not seen before. Very good job of researching.

  • thanks a lot i had this big projet and you guys just helped a lot

  • like to know if there teacher also taught about the german and itealens camps how about the camps the japs ( yes JAPS ) had in japan there ( the kids ) are being taught to juge the past by todays standerds

  • Hatred against the Japanese didn't start with the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The racial hatred against them was boosted around the turn of the 19th to the 20th century by a quasi-facist ideology called social darwinism or scientific racism, which was extremely popular till World War II. Eugenetics such as Madison Grant (of whom Hitler was a fan) contributed to this development a lot.

  • I am impressed with your vocabulary...

  • @ramnathusa Thanks. :)

  • we have one battery Left, well we could always plug it in, cut to credits/

  • I love how these little kids are being trained to judge the past my modern stantardars..had this little girl lived back during WWII she would be calling them "Dirty Japs". ha ha

  • I feel bad for the citizens of America, although I do understand the apprehension of the US government. Japanese massacred the Chines people raping over 300,000 women and killing them cutting their guts and exposing their organs as well as sticking sticks in their bodies. They held head cutting competitions, killed over 300,000 people and beheaded women and babies in their mothers arms. Japanese deserved to get fucking NUKED, bunch of evil fucks.. Excluding the japanese citizens of America.

  • Do you know what America did to innocent Panamanian civilians in the late 80s just to test military machinery? Research your history of the world and you'll see that the Japanese are not the only ones.

  • In time of war , a real war not the kind of wars we have now, all must follow orders. When a loyal american received a draft notice he went. When a loyal Japanese American received a notice to relocate he did it. We could not afford to

allow tens of thousands of enemy aliens to roam freely on our West coast when there was evidence that there were many disloyal amoung them. Their behavior

    in the camps proved this.

  • The evidence that they found was never proven. Just accusations hastily made out of fear. The Issei did not have citizenship but their children did, and it is against the constitution to hold them like that. Yes I am sure that some among them where disloyal, but not all.

  • Those born in Japan were the heads of the houshold and enemy aliens. When they were interned their dependents were taken along to avoid leaving them without a means of support. This was a humane effort that now is used to attack the U.S.

No good deed goes unpunished. Also many of the older children had dual

    citizenship. They were enemy aliens

and by international law we did not have to prove anything. The internment worked and stopped most of the espionage.

  • There were a lot of japanese in Hawaii and most of them weren't sent to camps, yet there was no espionage that took place in Hawaii during the war.

  • Do not be niave. research the Nihau incident,

a clear case of assisting the enemy and armed inserection. Japanese military intelligence was receiving radio transmissions from Hawaii until the end of the war. Just because we did not catch all of them doesn't mean it did not happen

  • @AdrianneReneeR - hawaii was not a state in 1941 but a territory and could be

put under marshall law. Almost all spies were rounded up and interned within hours of Pearl harbor attack. The Japanese consulate that they worked out of was closed.

but we did not get them all but they were ineffective.

  • @tigereyes1020 - the evidence did not need to be proven by international law, enemy aliens do no have to be convicted to be interned. All nations at war did the same, Canada, GB, Mexico, Brazil and Japan did the same. How would you seperate the disloyal when the japanese community would not cooperate? The japanese american citizens league suported the relocation, but did not help weed out the spies.

  • And what about german/americans?....

  • german americans were interned also

sometimes in camps right next to the Japanese, however there was no relocation for germans as there was no threat of invasion on our east coast. There were two types of camps, internment and relocation.

  • I would act like an asshole too if I was put in those shitholes (even though I didn't do anything)

  • ya when they send you to a relocation camp and you die there we will totally respect you for giving into discrimination by the government.

  • that was good

  • thanks
