  • I've seen this ivory handle model for sale which said it was a good camping/field knife.. would you agree? I ask cause you mentioned it only as a kitchen knife... I'm looking for a good all-around knife that is non-folding

  • I like the color of your knife, looks like the yeller handles on sodbusters :D

  • I like you antique ivory handle very nice.

  • The Canadian Special is my FAAAVVVV of all the barkies :D

  • I traded a Gunny for a Canadian Special recently. I love the Canadian Special. Feels great in the hand. It's an all around great camp knife for battoning, food prep, etc. It will probably do well at field dressing game and cleaning fish as well. I'm extremely impressed by this knife. One of my favorites so far.

  • Thanks for the video! I was thinking about getting the one with the two-toned micarta handle, myself.

If it's not too much trouble, how do you sharpen yours? That convex grind has me a bit confused...

  • I looked up some of the many good YT vids on convex sharpening. It's easy with a little practice. You'll do well.

  • Dude.... you have got to be careful..... you could put an eye out with that thing....

  • hey Andy good to put a face with a name! i missed out on the bark river "pass around", good to see it! thanks for commenting on my vids and adding me as a friend! thanks !

  • thanks alott Andy, I think ill get the ivory handle one too.

  • Nice video Andy.

  • Oh Andy....i just realised what you mean by "Save" button. They have it at the top of the page...weird...but thats where it is.

Even now, after many uploads I still automatically go to the bottom to 'save' and have to return to the top.

  • I just double checked...its at the top and bottom for me.

  • Cool video Andy! That is a pretty nice lanyard .... it goes well with the handle. The CS has a unique design that I think helps it with multiple tasks. I have to say that Antique Ivory Micarta is one of if not my favorite handle materials. The quality of the video is excellent. Thanks! Brian

  • Hey Andy...did Jenna do the Lanyard?

  • Turns out that Pat, the guy before me on the pass around did it. I just Jenna without knowing.
