Very nice relaxed rendition. I first heard this sung by Barbara Dane, which would have influenced the way I sing it. I've linked my video as a response.
Your rendering here has brought this haunting story-song to a new and higher level of musical merit.
That there Weapon of Mass Seduction is so powerful as the backbone to your direct and honest vocalizations. Coffeehouse material this is not...I view this performance more as being akin as a showcase rendered on a back porch among neighbors and friend folk (both young and old alike).
Many thanks for sharing yet another ditty perfomed in fine form.
I appreciate your thoughtful comments and not just on my videos but on other people's videos as well. You are a viewer who obviously "gets into" the spirit of the performer and understands it well enough to actually put it into words.
I learned my love for music through my father who used to play the ukulele and tenor banjo around the campfire at our summer cottage back in the late 1940's and early 50's.
It is in this "back porch" setting that I enjoy music most of all.
