You said you got it in the post? You can't always garantee a good quality camera if it's not from a trusted and well-known website. i've seen other videos and this same camera has worked really well, it might not be all cameras, it might just be yours?

I have a cheap 79.00 one that works better then this camera even in low light or no light at all and out of all the cameras i seen non have blue rain on the screen. they might turn a bit dark yellow but thats it. the fine pix just sucks ass even out side the screen was bad we could not take pictures out in the snow  camera could not focus in the white snow.. cheap as camera.

@Lynxtpm@Lynxtpm yes they tryed to give me a onther one same problem the one thing that i did not like about it was the quality of the pictures it a 14 mp camera but the quality of the color is so poop it has no true color all the colors look so faded or old like no bright colors , we took the same pictures with a 35 mm camera and the s2800HD the 35mm were 100 times better then the S2800HD same with my old 8000s finepix camera witch is 7 years old and only 8 mp camera

All the reviews on the Finepix s1800, s2500hd give them very good grades. for their price. I Have a Canon A480 10Mpx digicam and its pretty cheap, the modern version are the A495 and A800, that are basicly the same. In Auto the pics were ok, but once you get used to it, and the program mode it does get better.

I think that in its price range it may be one of the best you can buy, but I do think the S1800 is better, its basicly the same with 12Mpx.

@matzoman4 yes i did did you not see the video I took pictures indoors and out and video the pictures had blue rain in the back round indoor pictures did too even with the flash when taking video outdoors in bright light , in my case snow all around everything was white the camara could not focus do to the bright light setting on auto

even when only 3 feet from my back truck it still could not focus.

my 79.00 camera takes by far way better pictures indoors and out.

sounds like a bad CCD sensor . I used a 2550 that did the same thing but when i flipped up the flash it got clear as a bell. Sorry to hear about the response you got from them . Some things just can't be fixed over the phone, and usually its a lot quicker to do the exchanges through the stores you purchase from, especially around the holidays, as long as your still within the return policy and have your receipt. All spoken from experience here . Hope your next cam works

of course the screen is grainy and/or fuzzy , you're in a low lit room with the flash down and holding the camera less then a foot away from your bed. You also have a higher ISO on the newer cameras, so the graininess is going to be a factor. try popping up the flash or turning on the light in your room, and try posting another video  when you see what i mean .

@pdsmiles1980 I called the 800 number they told me some what the same thing still did not help the other problem that i had was when i went out side the screen would turn all white when i went back indoors the picture came back. at the end they told me to return it for my money.

I'm glad I didn't get this camera. I ordered the Samung HZ50W (WB5500) instead.
