Music doesn't have to be difficult or complex. Dax shows how you can make some of the absolute best music, and have it still be simplistic. His music is simple, dark, and beautiful

So glad i got to party with Dax and his old band Acid Bath back in the late 90's. Tampa , FL @ the Brass Mug and in St. Pete FL. @ the State Theater. I was even lucky enough to get on stage and sing with the band. I don't believe in god or the devil but Dax Riggs is a GOD!
dax has been around for a long time first he was in acid bath the had 2 albums then one of there members was killed by a drunk driver then he started agents of oblivion they had one album then he had tons of other side projects

I still think it is amazing that for as long as I have been into music, that one of my favorite musicians ever, I only found out about 4 months ago. It is a lesson of never giving up hope, there can always be something better.

Since his "singing" voice hasn't changed at all since Acid Bath, how exactly did he "stand out" there but now is "cookie cutter"? If anything, is gutteral vocals in Acid Bath were far more cookie cutter - pretty standard hardcore/death metal vocals. Sounds like you're friends with one of the dropped bandmates and are now bitter.
I am not going to get into the whole debate that seems to be happening here about Dax not being the same after Acid Bath, I think he still has a lot of potential. I WILL SAY ONE THING THO! I still think it is amazing that for as long as I have been into music, that one of my favorite musicians ever, I only found out about 4 months ago. It is a lesson of never giving up hope, there can always be something better.

Since his "singing" voice hasn't changed at all since Acid Bath, how exactly did he "stand out" there but now is "cookie cutter"? If anything, is gutteral vocals in Acid Bath were far more cookie cutter - pretty standard hardcore/death metal vocals. Sounds like you're friends with one of the dropped bandmates and are now bitter.
