-_-" this is kind of stupid... Most herbivores have flat crushing teeth structure. Carnivores have sharp pointed teeth. We have evolved to be omnivorous to be highly adaptable to our environment. We are mainly meant to be very active hunter/gatherer where meat is supplementary to our natural diet of grain and plant matter. We are not just herbivores or carnivores but a MIX. The problem with our current diets is that meat is no longer a supplement to our diet but the mainstay. Also less sugar.
I wish he didn't compare human to a hoofed animal. He should compare human to another primate such as gorillas or orangutans which are both herbivores.
Also, how do I get 3,500-4,000 calories a day (i weight lift so I need calories) without meat and cow milk? That shit is near impossible unless you drink a gallon of juice a day :||
I usually have peas, carrots, apples, brocoli, oatmeal, nuts (cashews or peanuts) daily [and by usually i mean almost always]
i try going w/o meat for a day, and I feel weaker; I do not eat a lot of meat and its only once per day and probably 6 times a week... i tried following the no animal product diet and felt like a weakling >_<
Beans and dark green leafy vegetables are especially good sources of iron, even better on a per calorie basis than meat. Iron absorption is increased markedly by eating foods containing vitamin C along with foods containing iron.
2 Tbsp. of Blackstrap molasses provide 7.2mg of iron.
Google "WHFoods" which is World's Healthiest Foods. You can search EVERYTHING. It's a great source.
I see you commented about fluoride on "uploaded comments."
What do you suggest doing about this? I drink water out of the refrigerator (about 60 oz. a day), it has a filter but I am unsure if it filters out fluoride, and by unsure I mean I'm pretty sure it does not. Also, toothpaste has fluoride. And does every area of the U.S. put fluoride in the water? Tips?
@FerrariSorry Fluoride is in everything these days. It's not a natural occurring mineral, it is a toxic waste from the phosphate fertilizer/aluminum industry. It's in 70% of US city water & growing. You are correct, filters are useless & I understand Reverse Osmosis is not at all 100%. You want to be sure, drink distilled water - I have for years and plan to purchase my own distiller soon.
Fluoride is in most liquids you consume, pop, juice and it's sprayed on our food crops as a pesticide and in warehouses as a fumigant. As for toothpaste you can buy Jason's brand fluoride free or Tom's of Maine (although it now owned by Colgate).
People worry that drinking & cooking with distilled water is harmful, as it is pure H2O -void of all impurities & minerals. Use pink Himalayan salt in your diet - it contains 80+ essential minerals. I'll take pure over toxic anytime.
@jollyjoshhalo Most people misinterpret their illness -- brush it off as a stomach flu and intestinal upset, when in fact, it is actually salmonella food poisoning. Although you do hear of people contracting salmonella or e-coli from veggies - it is because of cross contamination from an animal product. An example: The reason they pasteurize most apple cider is because there is a farm nearby & harmful bacteria can find it's way to the orchard through water & human transportation.
@orgamikrikit Don't take my word or anyone other persons word on this subject - please - I encourage you to do the research for the sake of you're loved ones.

@DianeDi - I already banned HFCS and aspartane from my home. Sugar has a small place in my home, but it gets smaller as the years go by. But animal protein has never been something I worried myself much about. But yeah, I think I need to do the research. I am an athlete by the way, so I have been trained to think I need tons of protein to recover.
@Freccia6000 That's a loaded question and something only time will tell. I've heard it put a couple of ways... 1 is compare it to smoking, if I only smoke 2 cigarettes a day rather than 2 packs will it kill me? or 2, a fellow asked his doctor if he ate steak once a week instead of 3 times a week is that ok.... doctor asked him he he wanted to be shot or hung. I suppose it's one of those things that more is not good, but the fact that it's constantly in the body can't be good either.
I have been a Vegan for two years. I received my blood test results this past week and everything is perfect and cholesterol 130. You can get everything you need from plants without the sickness/surgeries. Chew on that!
All animal products will KILL YOU!!! Animal products are the cause of all diseases known to man!!! Everyone needs to adopt a 100% plant based diet. You will get everything you need from fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains and legumes. Make this switch as soon as possible to make yourself and your loved ones extremely healthy. You will have a ton of energy!!! Things to stay away from include whey, casein, lactose and albumin. Also, limit consumption of refined sugars and carbohydrates.
The thing problem with his salmonella argument is that even non-dairy and meat foods can be tainted. Remember when all that peanut butter had salmonella and the spinach had E-coli?

Why is it that people on the atkins diet LOSE weight??? This guy says animal fats collect in the tissues and make them fat because it's a solid. If so, then why do people who solely eat meat not get fat, but lose it!!!???
I saw one documentary here on youtube called somethnig like atkins diet and the thing is that people on that diet eat less calories daily then they need. That of course leads to weight loss.
@gukonni combinations of food burn fat fast like the new mayo(not mayonnaise) diet , but your still clogging your arteries, i was going veg, slowly, after seeing this i'm giving my meat away with a kind warning. lol
@deracinated1 Good for you, you will never regret that choice and it's much easier than most people think. I also watched the documentary EARTHLINGS. That really made it a very easy decision on top of the obvious health issues listed here. There is a link on my main page for anyone interested.
@incrediblejessen Exactly, it`s saturated fat, the worst kind, plus it`s full of cholesterol - the only source from food is animal products, and it is full of hormones that don`t do a body good.
@incrediblejessen There is absolutely nothing wrong with fat. And meat werent designed to have hormones in them. If you dont want hormones in your meat, buy organic, grass fed, free range meat. It makes a huge difference.
Its like me saying im not going to eat vegetables because they spray a bunch of chemicals on them.
@incrediblejessen cdnp4p can continue to eat meat and dairy..... I call it thinning the herd. Some people really don't get it, and continue to believe everything these corporations sell and their false health benefits. Mind you, it does keep the pharmaceutical industry in business. You are absolutely correct there are hormones in meat. Dairy is of course the worst offender, even organic. After all a nursing cow provides a hormonal delivery system to it's baby calf.
@incrediblejessen I never said they cant be healthy under a vegetarian lifestyle. The bottom line is the healthiest diet is one that includes meat. This is simply not arguable. If you look back through our history the healthiest diets were those who consumed meat. You really need to do some research. The quality of meat we eat sucks. But that doesnt mean you cant consume organic, grass fed, free range meat.
@incrediblejessen Not injectable hormones. Bottom line is you are absolutely missing out on some incredibly healthy foods if you do not eat meat, fish etc. And you are not doing your body a favour if you choose to bypass meat for foods such as bread, pasta, rice WHICH ARE NOT health foods.
@cdnp4p i don't eat bread, pasta, or rice at all. I eat fruits and vegetables, like my primate ancestry dictates. And I am healthier than I have ever been in my entire life.
If you think people can't be healthy on a vegan diet, go talk to Carl Lewis.
The Inuit no longer live on the diet of their ancestors. They have only recently, last 40 yers, started developing diabetes Because of the soda, beer, sugars, and flour that is now in their diet. On their traditional diet diabetes is unheard of. I was not advising to eat only meat, but that people have lived that way. Also look up the caveman's diet. My diet includes plenty of the low carb veggies. I've lost 27 lbs, and fill great. Just 10 lbs more to my goal.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
The inuit lived on a diet of all meat for thousands of years. Lost 18 lbs on the Atkins diet, and I'm loving it. Sodium has nothing to do with high blood pressure. The body can easily regulate salt, and urinate the excess out. Looks like another lie.
High blood pressure is the result of a clogged artery leading to the kidney.... when you have h/b pressue salt worsens the condition. It's all the same disease, a clog vessel in the brain, heart, kidney.... it's a disease of eating animals.
Inuit have the lowest life expectancy among Canada's three aboriginal groups, which also include Indians and Metis. Other health problems such as diabetes and tuberculosis are more prevalent among Inuit than in the rest of the country. The National Geographic reported that the 3 longest lived tribes in the world were centenarian vegetarians. They are the Hunzas of Tibet, the Azerbaijans of the Caucusus and the Villcabamba of Ecuador.
I alway felt like crap after I ate a huge omelette or drank milk early in the day. I figured it was just an overdose of pretein. Now I am discovering why. Don't indigenous tribes eat fish and they are relatively healthy?
Very interesting ...I must say I feel much better when I eat veggies and fruit but sometimes I feel I need to have some meat, I actually crave a good steak sometimes.
Thanks for your comment.... and I must agree, it tells it like it is ! Imagine even if 1 in 10 people changed the way they eat after watching this.... that's a lot of lives saved.
