dude once had an almost flat tires on his a 2000 model CL500 we tried to warn him the idoit kept accelerating away thinking we were racing him and crashed at 180 kilometer ..his car did 360s in air and went on fire......yet he was able to walk away... @_@.....we thought he was some sort of a demon coming behind his that was set on flames ,,,we were like : umm are you okay and immediately took off with another guy after one phone call without even saying anything....expensive car,..but worth it..

benz has done a great job, the head restraints move up to reduce head travel, the curtain bag protects and reduces amount of glass entering the cabin, the belts tension at :27, i thought that was cool.

@KingAaron789 Glass is irrelevant. Of course with any harsh side, frontal, or rear crash, you will have glass shatter and that is with ANY CAR. The main point of safety is to make sure that the person driving that car comes out without death, rib fractures, broken bones or anything else harmful. Lacerations is nothing to worry about. Besides, the new E class scored the highest crash test rating any car could have. Like I stated, glass is irrelevant when it comes to safety.

@waseok i think there is sensors on the car that detect contact with objects travelling towards the car at high speeds, therefore deploying the airbag right before the collision contact is made.

The 5 series did better in EuroNCAP's tests but thats no indication of how they will perform comparatively in real life. Both are very safe.
