  • delicious Patagonian toothfish

  • Anyone else here because of that one line from Jurassic Park where John Hammond says the chef made Chilean sea bass and then they showed it and it looked delicious?

  • This recipe is great, easy and can be done with almost any white fish. I used olive oil mixed with seafood seasoning herbs in lieu of the basting oil. This has become one of my standard ways to make fish. Comes out great everytime!

  • 130 F of course.. idiot!!

  • It's not fond. The stuff stuck to the bottom of the pan is called sucs.

Fond generally refers to pre-made stock, broth, bouillon, or demiglace. Adding liquid to the sucs creates a fond. Milk can also be considered a fond. But classically, they never refer to the caramelized bits in the pan as fond.

  • Your instructions are so clear you made this look so easy. I will be trying this recipe.

  • Nice combination. I will try this soon.

  • thank you so much, I just tried this recipe and it's spectacular! Quick, easy and delicious.. I always welcome that as a busy mother! Thanks again!

  • LOL C? ha ha

  • 130 degree WHAT? F or C ??

  • 130 degrees fahrenheit

  • @YoLninYo retard

  • @YoLninYo haha, seems common sense. One temp is waaaaay to low and cannot sear.

  • @cliffcox66 which temp is waay too low? 130C or 130F? ... Chef says it's supposed to be 130F ... think much? ;-)

  • @YoLninYo YOU"RE KIDDING ME?! The definition of searing, even without specifying a temperature is "high" temperature. But use logic, certain food require certain temps to be done. Even at that done temp, for instance rare steak internal temp is minimally 120 degrees. A pan cannot sear with such a low temp. Ohh my god, sorry, you've suckered me into an idiot's debate. Sorry, totally sorry, you'll find the answers.

  • @cliffcox66 All this internet idiocy could have been avoided if the chef had bothered to keep in mind the fact that his audience maybe global. Simple as that. enough of this "debate".

  • @YoLninYo NO, people with sense or cooking experience know. Celcius would be 266 degree internal temp. My god, common sense. hahahhhaaaaa haha haha.

  • @YoLninYo Hey bitch I have fucked your mother last night !!! And it was disgusting !!!

  • Now what was the name of the four that you sprinkled after salt and pepper ? And the oil is called basting oil..is it ?

This was fast quick...got me inspired to try this out tonight..great job sir!!!
