We got our payback and the conference tournament is at home this year we're gonna run the table in C-USA this year and with the recruits we've got coming in next year we'll win the C-USA our final year before we move to the Big East. GO TIGERS GO!!!!!!!!!! BLEED BLUE WHITE TILL THE DAY I DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Memphis was 12-5 not 13-4 coming into the game. Stop trying to make Memphis look like a powerhouse. They havent beat a ranked team since coach cal left. They are mediocre at best
Also rushing the court was amazing, other schools do it cus its legal to do so, at UCF its illegal that's why it took a while for the crowd to break through security but we did it and it was an amazing game with an amazing ending, GO KNIGHTS!
It was the first time in history we ever beat Memphis and it was a fucking buzzer beater and 1 to win the game that's a huge emotional moment for the crowd, we obviously aren't a nobody school if you all managed to find this video, just the fact you're taking the time to comment means we are worth your time
I'll accept the court-rushing. UCF makes a big deal out of hiring large numbers of security guards to stand in front of the student sections for games against huge teams such as Hartford and North Carolina A&T that doing it in this game (the biggest home game of the season for UCF) makes enough sense. I wouldn't have really cared either way had it not happened, and I still don't. A cool experience though, and it may as well have been this game, since this is as big as they get in CUSA 11-12.
lol what a fail. You don't rush the court for an unranked team. Don't care how many times in a row you lost to them, a win vs. an unranked team is still the same thing. Have some dignity. Notice how it took a few seconds before even a few students were on the court. That's called forcing it. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.
@sportzfrk99 So let's say it was 25th ranked Clemson or whatever.....it's still Memphis who is a great basketball team who was 13-4 coming into the game and UCF is on it's way up. Go Knights.
@TheeHurriShane Memphis WAS a great team. They are not this year. Yes they have dominated C-USA since Louisville, Marquette, etc. all left for the Big East, but this year they are really mediocre. Had this been UCONN, which was unfortunately in the Bahamas, then yes, rushing the court is very much deserved. UCF may be "up and coming" but to the rest of the country you are still a small nobody school trying to beg for attention with this. And it backfired.
@sportzfrk99 I've seen other schools rush the court for much less. As far as a nobody school to the rest of the country...that would be false as we are getting prized transfers from major schools. If we had UF in the house instead of the Amway that would have been the last time UCF would have. BTW UCF is in the BE next year just in case you didn't know that.
haters=motivators! UCF played their heart out and deserve this win. There were so many missed calls against Memphis. They were holding our guys all night long pull them from under the basket. UCF wins and it's well deserved. #GOKNIGHTS!
That was a terrible call it should have been a foul on the floor for two shots because if u watch it when the wistle is blown he was not in a shooting motion terrible call u can even see the outside ref didnt even signal the basket was good
@theghost2087 U mad? One call doesn't make the game. There were many no calls against both teams. Stop whining about the refs and let us enjoy the win.
Can't wait for the rematch in Memphis! I expect another thriller.
@platinump23 Extremely disappointing to say the least. UCF simply failed to adjust to Memphis's smothering D.
But, ANYTHING can happen in the CUSA tournament. I really hope we get another shot to upset you on your home court. The way we do that is if we dominate UAB at home and gain enough confidence in the second round match to face you guys once more.
Either way, our hopes at an at large bid has been shot. Win the tourney or settle for a top seed in NIT. Both are fine by me at this point.
@theghost2087 don't know what you were watching, but if you watch the slow-mo replay before the free throw, it is quite obvious clanton was in the process of laying the ball up when the ref whistles (i.e. raises his hand).
what that angle. Video proof it was in the act of shooting and the ref does not blow the whistle or put his arm up until the ball is out of his hands. Excellent call.
