i would not condem or run down any motor sport of any type coz i personally know whats involved to keep it going and together, but, i cannot ever figure how 3 r 4 seconds of thrill is worth all the effort! try a weekend rallying, its a constant thrill for the same prep and effort. as i said, i would never ever knock ANY type of motor sport!

Thanks for sharing your vids! I love those nostalgia rods. I haven't been to a nostalgia race since the 1st Annual Good Guys Northwest Nationals up at Pacific Raceways back in 2005. Missed the 2nd annual race... and it's sad that this year's 3rd annual race was cancelled, as well as any other future Good Guys nostalgia events at Pacific Raceways. Gotta get my butt down to Woodburn ASAP!

I was just checking the race schedule for Woodburn and it looks like there's a big race coming up on Sept. 15-16 with a nostalgia class. I hope I can make it to that one.

i had said why was the goodguys show stopped at pacific? was it that change of ownership with the good guys program? also, yes the fall classic is big: jet funnys, pro nostalgia and everything else.

I'm really not sure? I e-mailed them a while ago to ask, but got no response. A friend of mine who helps out at Pacific Raceways claimed that the Good Guys association were a little disappointed with the crowd turnout for the events, and figured it wasn't worth it to bring their races up there anymore. The 1st annual 2005 event had a lot of cars, but a so-so amount of people. The 2006 event was nearly cancelled due to rain. This year's 2007 event never even happened. I hope they bring it back.
