Mark Cole is the Guitarist in this song, and the band is called "Charge". Don't know of the singer's name offhand. This is a tribute to SVR and Jimi. Great cover. Unknown name.
Who are you people saying this isn't SRV? This same exact version is on a compilation album I have. Chris93Rock, thanks for posting, don't listen to the internet know it alls!
Thanks, but Im still not sure wether its Srv or someone else, the voice isnt quite the same, andparts of the lead guitar dont really match the other songs Ive heard him play. Althrough an awesome song =D
you really gotta love Stevie to learn his version of little wing note for almost every note! not bad though, i enjoyed it but he's not SRV and no one is but Stevie. you gotta find your own path but covers and using others licks is always a complement.
you dumb asses. this is stevie ray vaughn. i can tell by the guitar style and voice. im actually really good by telling guitarist apart. i also play the vaughn, hendrix, and frusciante style on guitar. trust me, i know. i can tune any guitar to what tune you want it in without even useing a tuner.
I realize you are only 17, but don't you think it would be a good idea to know what you post. It's not SRV or Hendrix on vocals, but it does sound like a SRV version. Where did you get the song?
@chris93rock remove the video of rename the video. this is not srv, and is not in any shape or form related to him. it does not sound him, it's a pair of shred guitarists doing this as a tribute to hendrix. you are one of the top hits when you type 'srv' into search, and this video is gravely misleading. remove it - thanks a lot!
This has always been my favorite song, and my favorite version. WHO IS PLAYING THOUGH? Does anyone know? I'm not sure if it's stevie cuz the style seems a little sloppier.
I listened this song many years ago!! But when I downloaded from Ares It never said the name of the song and artist. However, I've known for many years It is Little Wing.. but this version I thought I would never listen to it again...
Mark cole is very VERY good at sounding like who he is trying to sound like. Of all the versions I've listened to he doesn't sing, and neither does Stievie. Stievie Ray was a absolute master at playing guitar and mixing rock blues and jazz. He would put 13th chords in songs which was uncommon and still is today. Stievie Ray is still the greatest modern-day blues players that ever lived and will forever be,but sadly he did not play because at the end of the chorus the singer says "take it mark"
That Is Not SRV Because You can Tell From the Singing And because The guitar Playing doesnt Sound Like His Playing So its not SRV But Good cover Anyway.
Guitarist's name is Mark Cole. Only reason I don't like him is because it sounds like he practiced this song for a very long time to sound exactly like Vaughan. He doesn't appear to have a style of his own from the sound of this video.
It would not surprise me if this was Stevie, he never plays a song the same way twice. I have a version of him covering this song on his album "The sky is Crying" this is very very close to it. but it does not sound like he is singing.
This could very well be SRV. If you listen to his licks and phrasing it sounds alot like him. I do agree though that his voice does not sound like normal but he could be singing in a different key that normal. Also at 2:10 it sounds like to me that he's bending his third string or g string up a whole step and and I think finnishes with a hammer on and pull off but I'm not totaly sure. Stevie did this aloy like in Texas Flood and other songs.
ive found this on the net before, when i downloaded it it said it was SRV w/ Mark Knopfler from the Dire Straits, but yeah, there's no way that this is SRV, but its a pretty close cover of it....I still like it though
This is the band Charge, and the guitarist is Mark Cove. I thought it was SRV too, I dont really have a guitarist ear to really hear the difference lol. I have this version on my ipod. Its an amazing version, I think its my favorite. I just found a SRV to put on my ipod.
Not stevie playing.... Can't really explain it but i just know..... definately not him singing :P.... but yeah, he's missing alot of notes that'd make it similar to some of stevie's versions and the guitar sounds too tinny...
well he didnt write this, jimmy did, but i love it, usualy i listen to the vesion of this that he doesnt sing bec jimmy is better, i just have the music
i meant i like what he did with jimmy's work and i prefer it with lyrics but i give credit to jimmy for coming up with it in the first place but whatever floats you boat lol
definitely not Stevie Ray Vaughan
