@Beast6Of6Bass6 The one I play in this video is an Epiphone MB-250. It costs $600 on Musicians Friend, and it's a really nice sounding banjo for the money. Also, there's the Epiphone MB-200 which is $250 if you don't want to spend a lot, although I haven't played it. I'm guessing it's pretty good though. Hope that helps.

Another good one in the MB-200's price range is the Fender Banjo. I've had one for a few years now and it has a really good tone.

Nice job man! I loved the blugrass breakdown in the middle. You shold figure out how to do that with the chords from the beginning and drone notes in between that, which would create some awesome energy and chances for virtuosic licks and make it Bela Style. That would be killer. Keep up the good work. I played the violin growing up, then got a guitar and got pretty good at that, then got a mandolin and was less as good at that.. But the next instrument I want to buy is 5 string banjo.

why does the e tuner on a banjo only go 3/4 the way up the fretboard?

You mean the g tuner, although it can be tuned to e. It only goes that far so it can tune to such a high pitch and not break the string. If one tried to tune any of the other strings that go all the way up the fretboard to a high g, the string would almost certainly snap.

Hi. The banjo I'm playing in this video is an Epiphone MB-250 5 string banjo. It certainly isn't a guitjo or a dulcimer neck. The tunings of a dulcimer and a banjo are quite similar, and therefore the fretting is also somewhat similar, but this is indeed a banjo, and no other instrument. Thanks!
