  • The corp reorganized and put together a feeder group in 1981 and 1982 called the Argonne Cadets. We then competed in A class (I believe) in DCI and made finals in Miami, FL. I was the drum major and colorguard captain. I would have never experienced drum corp and all it had to offer me as a kid if it wasn't for Argonne Rebels! Thanks.

  • I agree. They were better than #50. They were national champs at least once.

  • The corps was the first co-educational corps as well. And all members were local kids. The excellence of the horn line was due primarily to the efforts of Sandra Opie, wife of the corps director Glen Opie.

    On the strength of the horn line alone, the corps deserves a higher rating than #50, IMHO. But then, I was a marching member. . . .
