The lyrics are Burt's and the drumming is Raymond's. Dino shouldn't rip songs out of FEAR Factory's archive at all, even with their permission. He may have taken part in the creation, but he is no longer in FEAR Factory. Dino has a good thing going with Divine Heresy he should concentrate on new songs, and I would have liked Tommy Vext to have stayed.

Fear Factory didn't disband. They're on hold so that everybody can persue other projects. Burton and Christian have confirmed on multiple occasions that they HAVE NOT broken up.
And the band you're talking about is "Ascension of the Watchers," Burton's Goth side-project.
tommy vext is nothing compared to burton c bell. burton practically invented an entire vocal style and shaped modern metal to what you hear today. vext is a good growler, but he sucks at melodic singing. as raidenthealmighty said, 95/99 era fear factory is unbeatable for most metal bands, they were absolutely fantastic live around that time. and besides, i still think burton has one more great fear factory album left in him.
Vext's clean voice isn't at all generic. Anything similar to his voice could only be, and I add, unfortunately, Howard Jones from Killswitch Engage. Tommy's voice conveys much more feeling than any vocal style delivered with such brutality. It's pretty unique, and I hope that he turns to use it in future projects.

I will say that Fear Factory was better in my opinion back when Dino was in the band. Archetype was a good CD, but Trangression was real lack-luster. Although, that doesn't mean that Dino made the band. That combination just did well in that era in the direction that they went. I think Cazares is just friggin' high and mighty on himself and is a spiteful, stubborn ass.

I will say that Fear Factory was better in my opinion back when Dino was in the band. Archetype was a good CD, but Trangression was real lack-luster. Although, that doesn't mean that Dino made the band. That combination just did well in that era in the direction that they went. I think Cazares is just friggin' high and mighty on himself and is a spiteful, stubborn ass.

All this nonsense about Divine Heresy being better than Fear Factory is a bunch of horse shit. DH is good, but they are really a different vain of music and I think it's kinda pointless to compare them in a "who's better" way. Fear Factory has a lot of meaning and depth to their music, they are also a lot more industrial and sometimes even atmospheric. Divine Heresy is just heavy fast-paced "roar roar sing roar roar" like Killswitch and bands like that.

Yeah, but Dino is playing a totally different style in Divine Heresy than he was in Fear Factory. Fear Factory is like industrial/death/thrash metal where as Divine Heresy is really straight up metalcore. And to say that Fear Factory would be as big as Pantera if they had sounded like Divine Heresy... are you trying to say Divine Herest is as big as Pantera? I think Fear Factory has kinda "been there done that." They have sold millions worldwide, and they have made an everlasting impact on metal

No Dino no Fear Factory is a fucking joke. I think they did rather well without him. Burton is a fuckin nice ass guy and what band is he working with now? Ministry yes I think so. AOTW is also great. I just went to the Divine Heresy show here in MN for free compliments of Dino himself. He also gave me a free cd and shirt. They were BADASS. My point is that Burton and Dino are doing just fine by themselves and they are both awesome.
