  • bullshits your digg your own hole

  • Great song, but Jimi makes it an amazing song. It needs that guitar of his!

  • Wow this is a good Jimi Hendrix cover

  • @julianholguin this is the original ... jimi made the cover

  • @caulinrocker1 I know, it was a joke.

  • There is genius in bob dylans version, but just think of the genius in what jimi hendrixs heard.

  • @SuperBlindguy Bob Dylan himself said that Jimi's version was the definitive version of the song

  • Bob Dylan said that Jimmi Hendrick's version is the definitve version of the song, I still like this one though

  • 'Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth'

very clever line, i always loved the song but as i get older, i'm starting to 'get it'

This man is a genious, fo real

  • Not comparable to Jimi's version imo, both are beautiful.

  • they dont make music like this anymore truly amazing

  • "I liked Jimi Hendrix's record of this and ever since he died I've been doing it that way... Strange how when I sing it, I always feel it's a tribute to him in some kind of way." ~Bob Dylan

hope this settles the Dylan vs. Hendrix debate.

  • @TheBluesgun Ok - 1. Artists opinions mean barely anything more than any other opinion. It's all still opinion. and 2. It's OPINION! Why all the debate, huh people? Can't we all be satisfied with out own tasters?

  • @TheBluesgun The way I look at it is without Dylan we wouldn't have this song! He wrote it and originally recorded it, but yeah, Jimi's version does the song a lot of justice and is the more famous version and Dylan did say that he preferred Hendrix' version too. But everyone has a different opinion. Personally I like both versions!

  • At 201etrainz your an assmunching faggot if you think that dylan sucks, yes jimi rendition of this tune is way cool to even say anything negative about bob dylan the great american poet who likely has more talent in his pinky finger than you will ever obtain throughout your entire life is not cool at all.

  • bob dylan is one of the greatest artist who ever lived but when you have heard jimi's version of this song. everything looks like shit

  • This is one of the rare occasions when a cover is better and I have to give it to Jimi but this original is wonderful too.

  • Kinda prefer Jimi's version, but that's probably cause I have known that one longer and listened to it more often.

  • This song gives me chills every time i listen to it

  • yeah, thanks for this. i couldnt find this original anywhere else on YT either

  • amazing

  • "no video, just sound" sound it's enough ; )

  • You guys can criticize any version all you want but to judge would be a matter of opinion, they'er both amazing in they'er own way. bob's has more meaning and jimi's in my opinion had one of the best guitar solos in history.you can't make someone like something just by saying its good, you can suggest but even then almost every time someones going to disagree and some douchbag will start an argument, so there's no point even saying anything at all relay.

  • I thought Jimi Hendrix wrote the song but I guess I was wrong.

  • I just think Dylan's version has just a heavier feel to it. I think it's kind of like the NIN song hurt, and the cover Johnny cash did.

  • like if the jimi hendrix version got you here

  • A great song and a great recording from a great album.

What more could you ask for?

    A great cover version - step forward, Jimi . . . . .

  • i love this song, in my own opinion i like the jimi version better but to each there own

  • Bob Dylan makes this song so much better then that Jimi Hendrix !!

  • Weird jimi henriks play this song better then the one made this song

  • @Rskate18 That's because Jimi is the best guitarist to ever live. Bobby is the best lyricist. I personally prefer Jimi's versions, but that's just because it's more my taste in music.

  • Who are the two fags who disliked this song?

  • Both versions are good but Jimi's is so much better. Whenever I smoke weed and just want to ponder things I listen to this version and whenever I party hard I listen to Jimi's. They're both good for different things and different moods.

  • I don't care much for his singing. But I'll be damned if he isnt the best songwriter in history.

  • This is shit Bob Dylan sucks Jimi's version is way better

  • @201etrainz eat a dick

  • @201etrainz I think that both versions are good...

  • @201etrainz Jimi did a rendition of this song. Bob Dylan is one of the many guitarists that inspired Jimi. Oh and Bob is doing the harmonica and pretty much everything in this song. Get your facts straight

  • bob my man this is so awesome and will always be

  • Why is it impossible to find bob dylans song on youtube? He is the greatest artist that ever lived..Old live performances are very rare.

  • @SuperJotoole There used to be a whole bunch of his songs on here, but youtube has been removing almost all of them lately.

  • @SuperJotoole Lived? He's still a live and still a million times better than any artist that was invited to the Grammys.

  • @Kjostvedt I know hes alive! Its just an expression!I went to see him in the O2 in Dublin last October when he played with Mark Knopfler, brilliant night!

  • @SuperJotoole agree

  • i like the original, but dave matthews band made this song epic

  • @SilversteinRescue

    lol@dave matthews band

Jimi Hendrix made this song epic.

  • ôh man i have play guitar hero by a friend and the i hear this song i try too find teh song but i cant find it again i tried to get some nervous^^ but then i found it in you tube on guitar hero play list oh man i'm the happiest boy of world thanks for this very nice music Bob Dylan you are great and thanks RustyShackleford965 i love it!

  • Video is not necessary. Only the song matters. Thanks!

  • bob dylan the best musical criminal ever!

i love his work i do but he stole 60% of his lyrics and even chord progression form alot of people that were around him at the time he wrote his work.. thats a fact !

  • @bushokjew00t -_- as long as you don't say he took this from Hendrix, then I don't give a damn.

  • @bushokjew00t As have 99% of all musicians ever. The great thing about copying is that each artist takes a bit from everyone they listen to and combines it in their own unique way

  • i love you for this

  • I keep hearing this was inspired by Frankenstein but i can't find any website that tells me HOW it inspired the song, and i need to know for a project,

  • THIS IS SO AMAZING

  • After Sgt.Pepper and a hiatus, Dylan comes out with this.

  • bout time some one put the real deal up

  • I agree! There's ton of crummy remixes (except for Hendrix's). Thanks a heap!

  • tumbs up ifyou got this in guitar hero !!

  • Comment removed

  • is bob the first one to make this song?

  • @horiblevideo yes

  • @horiblevideo yea 1967 John Wesley Harding album.

  • Thank u for posting this been looking for months for the original

  • Infinite loop, simply amazing.

  • Thank you ! holy shit you know how hard it is to find this version on youtube thank you kind sir!

  • Music is freaking magical. I want to meet Bob Dylan so much, he's my hero

  • I used to think that the Jimi Hendrix version was better, but both versions are equally genius. They both have their own style that they master so well.

  • Thank you man you made me smile again.

  • Genius! Finally found the original! Good man...

  • Thanks buddy! I searched all over youtube for this, for me that's the best version.
