  • Really love this song...

but i think for this version it was to rush and the crescendo is the fist lack of this version (maybe the setting or something like that)

    but still a good playing...

  • well i loved it

  • the first part is played as if it would be a competition of "how fast" and no intention of going into the deep. I really am not interested in technique-circus at the piano. Also in the rest of the piece, the fast parts are often played in a manner that sounds like "playing it away" and rushing to the finish line.

  • Fenesta Vascia! *_*

  • Berezovsky is a really great performer... but i don't like this performance... i don't know why... his interpretations of the liszt etude are just great...

  • Uhmazing.

  • i hate how it makes this look so easy. such an amazing performer.

  • hahaha he plays this sounded kinda like jazz cover xD, i'm just saying, but love his interpretation !

  • that's just technique here.where is expressivity? dont like it

playing the classical piano doesn't mean that you have to play flawlessly without emotion

  • @zumbla84

    He doesn't play flawlessly.

  • @twooffour i didn say that he does, actually

  • He plays it like he'd play Bach... He has incredible technique, but the dynamics are completely wrong IMO...

  • @sieurvalmont The audio is extremely, extremely compressed. This completely messes with the dynamics. The original performance would not have such strange dynamics.

  • OOH he is playing it too fast the subito piano have to be really cleared and be really in harmony of what it was and what is now

  • grandissimo, la melodia di "Fenesta vascia" non me l'aspettavo proprio :D

  • crescendo? where?

  • fantastic!!!!

  • too much speed

  • @dazdn1k Really? Many performances really fly through the outer parts, and the tempo of the middle section varies from person to person, too.

  • effortless

  • The instrument is dreadful and the thin acoustic doesnt help. Watch this:

A new york steinway with warm, rich tone and huge bass helps tremendously.

  • everybody in the back looks like a fake

  • fantastic technique, fantastic control and performance

  • 2:05 beautiful melody

  • 2:00 beautiful melody

  • he really plays everything very dynamic and in an absolutly technical perfection, but in my opinion he is toooooooooo fast.

i really like the performance of george bolet.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=Thy4nUUHc5I this is fenesta vascia

  • It's not just the skill that amazes me. This piece is so beautiful.

  • He plays some of the really hard parts so calmly and precisely, it's beautiful to watch :)

  • こういう演奏聴くと、自分で演奏するたびに自己嫌悪に陥るw

  • Wow...it's impeccable! Incredible!!!

  • 0:40 I simply love the way it goes

  • so amazing, me love it. wow.. ^^

  • I love it when music becomes liquid. I love it when it's not just something you hear, but a feel both physical and emotional.

  • amazing technique, as always....

but i think that his choice of tempi and dynamics is not very good... there are parts, that he plays rather slowly and then he suddenly fastens up very much... and i start to think that he plays too "dry", some parts remind me of a bad pogorelich-performance...

  • I love this piece, but I believe that it requires considerable attention to the dynamics, which Berezovsky lacks in this particular performance...

Either way, his technique is phenomenal. I have never seen a more focused and precise individual at the piano.

  • @GL3NE I exactly AGREE with You! :)

  • @GL3NE I agree with you about the performance dynamics but the audio to this clip is compressed to hell. If you listen, the quiet sections are the same level as the loud. This is a trick used by audio engineers so people don't keep having to turn their tv's up and down. e.g. 5:30-6:00 crescendo: the level barely changes, you just get the impression that it does from the change in timbre. You can bet your ass that live, the crescendo was blistering.

  • @sfd1984 The world needs more people like you who use their brains.

  • @sfd1984 The world needs more people like you who use their brains.

  • @sfd1984 hmmm where the fuck is this crescendo? let us know

  • @sfd1984 As much as I love natural dynamics, I compress all my classical music for listening in the car.

  • @sfd1984 Audio engineers shouldn't mess with that!

  • @sfd1984 Ok why do people say you cant hear the crescendo, when you can perfectly hear it? :|

  • My god, I just got done watching Marc Andre Hamelin perform this live, and I absolutely love this song. Both of them play it so well.

  • This is from the Neapolitan song : "Fenesta ca lucive"

  • Yes, and he managed to ruin it with that stupid staccato in the left hand... what a wastw of talent and mechanical ability

  • no, you ruined it with your fucking retarded comment.

    a blight on your family.

  • @thelisterinegame I would wish the same to your family, but I'm sure they were wise enough to kick you off their house long time ago....

  • @Barbapippo unfortunately being his brother, I wish we had have done.

  • @FabioThePianist Sorry, this is not from "Fenesta ca lucive", but from "Fenesta Vascia".

  • thanks for these, i wanted to go to the festival, but couldn't

  • I've no more words

for describing this charming sweet ,talented

    Pianist !! :D :D :D

    wow !!!

  • thank you for having it back!!!!

  • 2:28 ahiahiahi... cavolo!

  • AMAZING!
