I've watched all the other belly dancing video's and seen no one even holding a candle next to this lady. She has the moves, control, and super sex appeal that more than compensates for a lack of the superficial, "classic beauty". It wasn't a song, it was eastern dance music. Eastern (belly) dance originated in Egypt about 3600 years ago so there is a long history of traditions and standards set by Egypt for this art.There is music industry led by hundreds of Egyptian musicians who compose music just for this dance.

art is subjective and more so by gender when it comes to belly dance.For me as a man and when I watch Sadie's dance especially in this video,my initial reaction is a fascination with her ability to master body moves in a wonderful way, but within seconds, it turns robotic, void of any sentience .When I see Dina, I see an intimate, passionate, and sensuous performance. Dina's dance channels her femininity. She's a total package.

I greatly appreciate your input,and no need to apologize.Some feel I have contempt toward Sadie and I don't.She's very skilled and I've seen variation of her performance where she did great.I think she got carried away in this particular dance and ended up focusing only on technique.Her dance seemed pulsated in separate moves. Eastern dance requires fluidity and sensual continuity expressed by the dancer's skills.I didn't see it here.Peace :)

I watch a lot of Belly Dancers and most of them, even those from the Middle East, flit about the stage throwing in a hip-pop or shimmy here and there, or waving scarves & streamers around.
