And Oasis is horrible and Pearl Jam has been garbage since their first album. None of those bands have broken any new grounds musically, including Radiohead. They're the best mainstream bands of the 90s, but in general there are far more brilliant musicians/bands from that time period.

Shut the fuck up. First of all, show some respect - it's QotSA. Second of all, this band is just a quickie put together by three legends. More time and consideration is put into their main bands; Josh Homme, for example, spends most of his time on the Queens of the Stone Age. With Grohl, it's the Foo Fighters.

So yes, whoever said that is right. The Queens of the Stone Age is better than TCV, mainly because more of their time has been spent elsewhere making great music.
