I've always been an Angel/Buffy fan and when he left the show I watched less and less. Spike was always hilarious and I enjoyed him as a friend for Buffy but I never got behind them romantically. It was always Angel and that forbidden love. : )

I'm just going to put it out there, but doesn't it seem like they were always meant to be with each other. I mean, he came to her and they met because he was destined to be there for her, to help her. Forbidden love and all that jazz.

She's the only one who made him loose his soul because he was only truly happy when he was with her. The time it took between Angel finally leaving in Season 3, to meeting and 'falling in love' with Riley, made it seem like he was only the rebound. Ha!

my heart always skips a beat when he's on this show i'm not obsessed like but he is my perfect guy without the cursed vampire bit! A & B forever! i liked spike he was fun and daring but too much like cole from charmed angel is more like leo and even though spike and cole where cute, fun, exciting and daring as well as evil you need a steady guy like leo or angel.

@filmsfandisney77 sorry i now totally do not agree with myself on this as when i wrote this i was just starting to watch BTVS again after years of not remembering what happened in it. and i have fallen in love with spike again! he, even when he was evil, took my breath away! and angel just got boring the only time i ever liked him was when he was either exciting or angelous but even then he was a stiff! spike was always his own man! with or without a soul! and the trigger thing was not spike!

Wow it's kind of strange that you can watch it again and it change your mind about which couple you prefer. Guess you only liked BAngel. I've watch BTVS series so many times and however funny spike was he never did and never will do it for me. The interesting thing was spike was the same, soul or not but angel even had to have a different name when he was evil because he wasn't the same vampire. So DB really played two vampires on the shows. For me, Buffy and Angel....always.

@mimi42428 no, the show is based on the books the Vampire Diaries. The first book was released in 1991 while the first episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer was released in 1997. No rip offs there.

@kjp889 yea there are rip offs here. are you forgetting that there wa s a buffy film out in the early 90's and the idea for the show would've been floating around the industry for years before it was actually sold and then made. just saying,they are way too similar for there not to be rip off on the vampire diaries part. and you're talking about the book. but im not, im talking about the tv show. they dont always make the tv shows exactly like the book

what are you talking about? this song is soooooooo buffy and angel! it says "i'm leaving the one i should take" and "i'll look after you". Angel gave up being human and happy with buffy so she could live, and he came back after leaving numerous times so he could save her. He literally gave up his only love so she could be safe.

I just watched that angel episode where he becomes human for a day and i cried sooooo hard at the end :(
