I did this boss with molten armour, molten sword (for hungry) and then minisharked with muskets and when i could, i used demon scythe which does around 40-80 damage a throw, demon scythe is one of your best bets in defeating this boss if you aint got the stars, minishark is a must, also i forgot to mention i built an extremely long bridge which took around 20mins, better than waiting hours to get like 100stars lol

This way may be faster, but getting 300 stars might take along time. I find that if you make a very long bridge and After that get a mini shark and around 1000 bullets. 2000 if you don't think your fully equipped. After that i used a Nights edge to kill the Hungarys. I don't use any grav potions unless if my bridge is too small. This does take longer but it MAY be a better way...

@omniboksi You can either build a really long airborne platform and run across it night after night, or you can flatten out the world and just run across it. Make sure you have Hermes/Spectre Boots for faster run speed, and a Cobalt/Obsidian Shield so running into a zombie won't make you lose your speed buff.

GUYS Just farm gold till u get minishark(with 2000 bullets),phoenix blaster (400bullets) and use meteorite as ammo. Build a loooong platform about 750 blocks ( 3stacks of dirt will do) in hell light it up with torches and u can beat WoF without potions ( maybe ironskin will help). Remember the wall of flesh spawns on the side which you are closer to the edge of the world.

@TheDeadSurgeon its easy. its called go to hell and build a massive bridge out of ash or dirt. then summon him and kite him across your bridge. he'll never even touch you. i did it using a pheonix blaster and reg bullets. (hand gun from dungeon + hellstone). but you could probably use any gun really if the bridge is long enough.

I beat him with a Deadly Handgun and a 500+ block path through hell :P. The long flat pathway is the key! Hero's gravity potion skating works but it takes practice. the block pathway takes preparation time but it lets u focus on the wall instead of ur environment. Especially if you dont have a good long distance weapon, you can make up for low damage just making ur path longer and giving yourself more time to fight him.

@randomusername33 The time spent to get enough ammo to make star cannon worth while is far more annoying then the increase in damage. If you can buy a second minishark or had a megshark and want the starcannon for an occasional use once you've collected enough stars then that might be worth it.

You don't really need a grab potion or a bridge. Just bring specter boots and a grappling hook just in case. Also use a phoenix blaster with silver bullets get them in blood moons

Here's what I did:

I made a dirt bridge 500ish blocks long, to be safe.

I used Shadow armor, an armored shackle (+4 Defense), An anklet of the wind, A cloud in a balloon, obsidian shield, spectre boots, and of course, a star cannon with plenty of ammo.

easy way is get a phoenix blaster its a lot more powerful than the minishark and doesn't cost a ton of gold, and just do the same thing, grav potion if u like but its better to have a bridge to make multiple kills easier.

Haha, me and friends try beating him with all different weapons all the time. One friend tried with copper shortsword -_-' he did it, it just took him a while. though nobody was watching him so I doubt he really only used that. He later admited to shooting water bolt all up and down to kill the hungry and other things.

Anyone wanting to kill him, a really easy way is just to make a massive walkway along from left and right, that way you don't need to fly and it's really easy to shoot it :)
