Hey Guys,I have a softmodded wii 4.3E and i've had it like this for like a month but for some reason yesterday, my SDHC card couldn't be read in my Wii,It used to work fine and read all my homebrew stuff like FCEUX GX etc.

I recently moved the mega man 9 and 10 DLCs to my SDHC from my wii to see if i could get my DLCs working cus they would'nt work either

MY SDHC still works in my pc and my wii still reads SD cards so i don't know why my Wii wont read SDHC anymore,can anyone help thanks :)

The ONLY way to unlock your Wii to play copied and import games, plus DVD's and homebrew WITHOUT a mod chip, is to use:

This will work on ANY Wii, even 4.2, and does NOT require Zelda!

the asnwer to all the questions, its obvious your not comprehending this.um the twilight game was just something used for fun by the makers of this homebrew so yess its needed depending on what wii version you have(under like 3.7 or something) but yes its needed and what your doing is transfering compressed file via the internet to your wonderful sd based on the instructions and putting those on the wii.and the only people who brick are failures at life because they completely mess the steps up

you have to create an apps folder on the root of your sd and from there make folders in the apps directory  containing the apps so it should look like this apps/homebrewbrowser /boot.dol

luigimario: it happened to me to its because banner bomb leaves out the app step.....you add a folder called apps to the root of the sd and get the app files from a site and extract them there

YOu can use BannerBomb it works GREAT it is free, all u have to do is put it on the root of your sd card then go to the sd card (click the options then go to cahnnels then sd card then a popup apears then click yes and follow on screen instructions!!!

Actually, Penguin Ovrlrd, it will be a problem. If you installed the latest version, then you have version 4.0. Homebrew is not compatible with homerew 4.0 just yet.

Yes unfortunately I have been playing mario cart when some pulls up by you and keeps the gold star running while throwing the spiney shell about ten times? also I have seen the bullit used all the way around the track for them to stop as the winner nears they cross the line ...it's a shame people do this as it ruins the game for others

If it says "Failed to Read boot.elf" there are two things you could do to troubleshoot. One is to make sure your homebrew executable file (either boot.elf or boot.dol) is on the root of your SD Card. Another thing you could do to troubleshoot is to make sure your SD Card is formatted as FAT (to do this, go to My Computer, right click SD Card, and click Format).

I hope my advice works for you.

I'm gna do it for my cousin (he's lending me his wii for me to install Homebrew on his wii) and I just need to ask - do you need an internet connection to be able to install? you could either just borrow Twillight Princess from a friend or go rent it from blockbuster or some form of local rental.

you can find more in-depth installation instructions at Wiibrew (google it)

be sure you have an SD card (one you OWN, not a borrowed one) & a card reader (digital cameras work too)

I've been perusing the internet for about 30 mins now and haven't found an answer - do I need an internet connection for my Wii to use homebrew? Obviously I need internet for my pc to download the homebrew, but once it's installed can't I just install games off my SD card, without using the internet? No you dont need the internet on your Wii for you to use the homebrew channel. IM not sure what you mean by "games" if you mean homebrew then yes they run of the SD card, if you mean Wiiware games then they can be installed via the WADManager app to your Wii, but if you mean Wii games(Zelda, Brawl etc) then no.

To put it in short you dont need the internet for homebrew on the Wii.
