this is a good show, but the one thing that always bugs me is that the head profiles and annalists like Gideon and his replacement etc. are so arrogant, just once i would love to see an episode where they lose control where one criminal is able to actually out think them once or twice, from what i can tell only a few episodes are like that.

@DestroyerOfSense000 yeah but frank was like Gideon's arch nemesis, and like i said a few times they come up against someone who is right ahead of them, i just find the team to be a little well strange, i realize the people the go up against are sick and twisted and deserve no sympathy but sometimes i would like to see them try to talk one down, maybe i haven't seen the episode, but normally they lull the unsub into a handle position they do not talk them down, some can't be

@DestroyerOfSense000 ...and i realize that, but they are sick, and do the things they do, most have no choice, they are physically and mentally compelled to do it, they should be pitied and sought help to see if they can be saved, however i do get that many of the psychopaths and sociopaths cannot be saved, but it just seems that while this show is good, for every unsub they catch or kill, more and more take their place, the series just gives me a s sense of futility.

@MAnnaconduit1 I believe that some murderers who actually do feel guilty for their crimes, but can't stop due to psychological issues should be saved. Most murderers, no matter what their motivations, need to be treated impersonally. And yes, that goes on in real life and it's much harder than in the show. There's always three other serial killers and the like to take a captured one's place. That is one reason for the high suicide rates among law enforcement officers.
