  • I've been twice to the loover. In my opinion, worth seeing at least twice before you die.

  • I am going there in March so I can't wait

  • Too crowded? Make your visit at the end of the day and in the evening after the tour buses have left and the rest of the tourists have worn themselves out. Used to cost less too... don't know about now.

  • Liked ur video. I went in Feb,2011 .. managed to take some inside view too..

    cheers

  • Hey, where is a royal crap?

  • why would you bother to take photos of the Mona Lisa? It's most photographed painting in the history of art.

  • Thanks

  • Thanks

  • it's expensive in paris!make sure you have been to the toilet before going to the louvre!

  • i would rob those motherfuckers!

  • Thank you so much for the video. It made me more determined to visit Paris. ;-)

  • I don't have to go to Paris now. I have seen the Mona Lisa and heard the audio description on a separate video.

  • i like also the louvre, and why i live here in paris, i have time to take videos of this museum

  • I never really liked france. The towers ugly, the sewer system reaks to high heaven, and those people smell. What the fuck is romantic about that? Plus they sell people there. I mean if I was gonna say romance id say italy. France is just overrated.

  • @shade231 what about the food? French cooking is the bomb.

  • thank you great vid!

  • viracon is the company that made the glass for the pyramid... there's only one factory... and it's in my town... dunno if you've heard of it... owatonna, mn? prolly not... they also make bottles for the perfume manufacturer, fragonard...

the mona lisa was a huge disappointment... sure it's an amazing revolution in painting... but when you're 5'3" at the back of a crowd... the tiny thing is just a smear behind some glares. was sad... v.v'

  • que de chefs d'oeuvre !!!!!!!

  • Thank you for posting this. I'll avoid the Louvre. Way too crowded.

  • do not avoid!!!!!

  • Thank you for looking up. I am going there in 13 days!!

  • now you can come to minneapolis and see it again!! Antoine-Louis Barye's Lion with Serpent is here... it's cool... last time i saw it was two and a half years ago in france... now since i live on campus at mcad which is right next to the museum in which it is kept... it's pretty much in my back yard... i would never have guessed that i'd sleep next to a michelangelo

  • The Mona Lisa is like " Yup here I am looking at you look at me up here behind this glass, and this time it is really me, not some reproduced image" (she is saying this to the people at the Louvre)

  • really enjoyed this vid. i've always wanted to go to the louvre. i'm surprised how many paintings i recognized such as "old man and grandson" (ghirlandaio) the "marriage at cana" (veronese) and the "crucifixion of st sebastian" (mantegna)

  • MAGNIFICO!!!!

  • merci for sharing this impression of hundreds off people gazing at the mona lisa. too crowded for me, anyway, you can see the mona lisa much better on the net. have downloaded several beautifull copies! dont need to go to the louvre. (better go to the moulin rouge for more lovely lisa's?) we have Karel Appel and Van Gogh overhere in The Neterlands. thanks again for this vid!

  • not supose to take pictures? of mona Lisa haha it depends when you go some days its not okay and others its a free for all

    I got pictures :)

  • Your video is very vivid. I plan to pay a visit in a few months, after visited first in 1977.

  • u are not supposed to take pictures of le mona lissa

  • No, thats not true. I have been there, they let you take video and pictures.(Unlike Leonardo DeVinci ceiling painting in Rome and some other areas in Europe)

I'm not into art but the Louvre was totally mindblowing for me. I want to go back to see it again.

If you havent been to Paris, its worth the trip. Went to 15 countries throughout Europe and over 25 cities. Liked London, Paris & Rome the best.

  • my favorite cartoon by davinci is The Virgin and Child with St Anne and St John the Baptist... my favorite things about it are the way st. anne is depicted and how baby jesus has a penis for an arm...

davinci was such a snarky person... je t'aime ^^ <3

  • that is such a lie. i have been there and there was no problem with it at all. and besides, they cannot deny a picture of the most famous painting on this planet. people travel from all over the world just to see this masterpiece, they can take pictures, been there, dont that

  • actually, there are many signs saying not to - but people do anyway. just because you're in a swarm of people taking pictures of something doesn't mean that you're ALLOWED to.

  • The Louvre is prounnounced: Loov. Not the way you said it. Je habité en Paris.

  • That's the way people speaking French prounnounce. J'ai habité à Paris aussi.

  • Rofl, J'habite a paris maintenant.

  • It is prounnounced like that bcuz in french they don't prounnounce the last part of the word i hav bin in le louvre many times but the sacre recure chappel is nice aswell or Notredam

  • awsome video

    Tremeno video!!

  • nice video
