  • Hey, very nice!

  • Wasn`t the hole cast ill, that night? I only read that Persson was ill and a few singers had a cold...

But I like this cast and the hole production. The best thing was the moonwalk from Petibon.

  • That is really surprising! I thought everyone sounded great, and Persson and Lehtipuu had improved quite a bit from 2006. I saw Leonard in Don Giovanni at the Met and got to meet her - she is in fantastic voice, beautiful, and just my boyfriend's type...haha. I've never heard Boesch before, but he's great aside from possibly blending in too much. I never liked Skovhus (sp?) much, but he's a perfect Alfonso. And Petibon might be my favorite Despina.

  • Miah and Lehtipuu sound great and yes, they do have improved since 2006!!! Miah controls her lower register a bit better this time (is it just me or...?). They're both great actors, too.

  • How do you like the production? It is hard not to compare it with the 2006 Glyndebourne version.

  • It's hard, but I think that this is an interesting production, with a superb cast!

But Glyndebourne is probably the best Cosi ^^

  • Yes you're right, Glyndebourne's staging is superb, but this one is also interesting!! Plus Lehtipuu and Miah have improved here since Glyndebourne 2006 I think.

  • Lehtipuu's singing was uncharacteristically uneven in this first-night performance. His voice sounded tired and a bit coarse at times. (Frankly, I was shocked by this. He is usually very well-tuned.) I hope that it was only a temporary setback, and that in the next several performances he will have smoother runs. .
