The UAE was populated by nomadic tribes up until the demand for oil reshaped the entire country. Western society and the demand for oil is at the root of most of the environmental destruction that has gone on and continues to go on.

Neither of you have mentioned the fact that temperatures have risen all over the solar system which implies that the recent warming could be down to solar activity and may have nothing to do with the levels of CO2. It's actually a well known fact among climatologists that the things which affect the earths temperature are Solar activity and geothermal activity not atmospheric conditions. There is still no solid evidence linking the rise in global temperatures to human activity.

Yes but the temperatures stopped rising in the 70s while the CO2 levels continued to rise. There's a lot of evidence to show that global warming is not happening or at the very least not the way the politicians are saying it is. They've even been talking about it on mainstream news networks
