i thoroughly enjoy these youtube super mario bros 3 playthroughs. its so much fun. Super Mario Bros 3 is the greatest video game of all time. I'm sitting here eating a box of teddy grahams, because they remind me of the tanooki suit, and watching every video.

how do you go behind the background?

@CatandFriends1 You have to find a white block platform with bolts in the corners and then crouch on it for 6 seconds. At that point you'll fall through the white block and be able to muck around in the background for about 10 or 15 seconds. But be careful - you can't walk past enemies unless you're behind a bush or some such. Walk into an enemy when you aren't behind anything, and you'll take damage.

If Nintendo DID have this supposed time traveling power, wouldn't they just use their knowledge of the future to make high quality 3D games and systems sooner?

@jakesaysknee The technology wouldn't have been made available in that time period, and if it were it would probably not be cost-efficient (see the initial launch of the PS3's build cost vs sale price). They COULD steal the technology, but they'd have to take a lot of it back and they might not have been able to reproduce it.
