I have the original pre, im 24 and broke. though its basic and limited quantity. The applications available smoke most of what other companies do. Try FitTrack and BilMyytime. and im certain there's more. Pissed about zumbi baseball moving to 2.1 and forgetting about the other phones. I might be getting the Pre 2 soon.

I have a rooted phone and it runs flawlessly with 4g amazing battery life free tethering and doesn't crash like my shitty ipod touch 4th gen which can barely handle switching between apps. stop crying because you regret getting an iphone/ipad just because your friends got it. Also people who are slaves to apple products are usually idiots who can't spend the time to read a couple hours and learn the potential of android and how much you can customize it...

@herplederples in fairness it isn't android that ruins the device, it is the shit that the OEM's do. Sense, touchwiz that ain't android and I root my phone just to get back to AOSP (stock), and it IS fantastic. That is why a nexus google experience phone is IMHO the way to go with android. And WP7 is a great platform as is iOS. But the fill different roles, and android is definitely the bleeding edge platform.

TouchPad can already be OVERCLOCKED to 1.5GHz. Check your Preware or PreCentral forums. Patches and overclocking polishes up the many hardware issues that has plagued webOS devices when in stock mode.

WebOS has so much potential and many reviewers who have experienced all OSes have known its brilliance all along. You can't make a judgement based on 10-min demos at the store. It takes weeks to fully understand an OS.

$99 for a TouchPad and already sold out like crazy. HPalm should have catered to the lower-end and never go toe to toe vs Apple in the premium segment since Palm never had the deep enough pockets for it. Attack the developing countries especially in ASIA.

Consumers are price-sensitive and you can gain alot of traction based on price. $99 for a 16GB is dirt cheap and could make a great spare tablet. HP were just too stupid and promised webOS users and developers the moon and the stars.
