  • Amplitube is really the best among all guitar vst, if you listen well to all the ampli, it is really superior to guitar rig or others... and the awesome thing is that even some pedals sound better than the original

  • @tossturn ..and they need no maintenance! I know that I'm happier with the modeled Electric Mistress since the real one was in need of maintenance more than others. Which takes NOTHING away from its legendary status, of course :)

  • Will Amplitube 3 be availible on the iPad and do I have to buy it again or would the 2.2.2 version be updated?

  • @bramkNL iOS and desktop versions are unrelated, they don't follow the same version numbering.

  • How is it possible that in the app store there only is a version 2.2.2 and not version 3?

  • @ofjeoh This is for Mac/Windows, not iOS. The iOS version is a different product and is on 2.2.2

  • Hi..enjoy my new video..instrumental song composed by me..use logic pro and amplitube 3..

  • @regzproduction Send us a link via private message perhaps we'll repost on our other social channels if we like it :)

  • This is a link youtube.com/watch?v=YheHCsna19E&list=UUVV6cg5zEYKbfsHDELZApRA&index=1&feature=plcp

  • @regzproduction That link doesn't work, please send in private message

  • Are there any effects/amps available without buying anything?

  • @masalps Yes, you can find AmpliTube 3 Free on our web site.

  • @ikmultimedia hi there, do i need to have amplitube 1 and 2 to use amplitube 3 or can i use it even without the version before? thank you!

  • quick question to anyone reading this that has this program, is the site safe? because in order to download it i need to make an account wich asks to put ur address and im sort of concerned wether i should trust it or not i know its a something weird but hear me out lol

  • @psp2rockman We have been in business for over 15 years, a pioneer in audio software especially amp sim software. We have many quality products including software, hardware, and mobile apps & accessories. You can even see IK Multimedia products in stores like Apple Store, Best Buy, Radio Shack, Target, etc. I think we're pretty trustworthy :)

  • @ikmultimedia sweet man thanks, is their any free versions or demos i can try out before considering buying it? seems like a very good program

  • @psp2rockman There's a completely free version that has only some of the gear in it, but there's also a full 10-day demo of the full version. Also, Custom Shop lets you audition gear there for 2 days at a time. Thanks!

  • @ikmultimedia oh yeah i have a prblem with the program i get the free version of amplitube 3 im loving it man but i cant make it full screen and i need to make it full screen because theirs buttons on the bottom of program so i can record a song but it wont let me because my side bar on the bottom is covering the bottom portion of the program any suggestions? please help i need to record soon

  • @psp2rockman It is a fixed size but you could move your bar to a side of the screen perhaps? Tech Support would be of better help for questions of this nature.

  • @ikmultimedia ive tried but i still cant reach that record button on the bottom because of the bottom bar, how can i contact tech support? i wish i could just easily click the full screen button but it doesnt have that option nor the option to adjust the screen size

  • @psp2rockman Tech support is available directly from our web site. Thanks

  • Quick question...can you layer your guitar track using two different guitar amps (maybe even three) in mono to get one specific guitar tone? By the way, buy the StealthPlug, I highly recommend it.

  • So, this isn't for iPhone or iPad while it looks like its for computer? And can you use it on PC, and how much does it cost? And can I use iRig whit this?

  • @dwelitz AmpliTube 3 is for Mac and Windows. So yes it will work on PC. Go try the free version on our site (there's a demo, of course, but also a fully free AmpliTube Free for your PC). You cannot use iRig with Windows PCs

  • Is this available for iPad?? If not, then how do you come close with Amplitude 2 to get the controls of Amplitude 3??

  • @97yawnac AmpliTube is available on iPad but it is not an exact replica with the same gear. Please visit our site for more information - you can also download the free AmpliTube 3 for your Windows/Mac PC there and you can get AmpliTube for iPad Free in the App Store on your device

  • hey i hv successfully connctd my guitar via guitar cable......bt d sound is lil delayed ...by 1 second............cn ny1 hlp me plz...my using it on my dell laptop.....

  • @varun10051994 Sounds like a latency issue with the buffer setting on your audio interface. If you are not using an audio interface with a Hi-Z/Instrument input, you will not be getting the best guitar signal into your computer (thus not getting a good sound out) and you will not likely get very low latency either. For more help, please contact our Tech Support team from our web site. Thanks

  • @varun10051994 dude thats latencey, try searching for asio, it helped me on mixcraft

  • @mattapaqa Though without a proper Hi-Z/Instrument input ASIO will only make it a non-optimal sound just without as much latency. A decent audio interface is a must for good guitar tone on your computer. StealthPlug and StealthPedal are affordable examples made with guitarists in mind.

  • @varun10051994 DID U install ASIO4ALL software ??? Go 2 settings then audio midi setup and set BUFFER SIZE to 512

  • @DVirji Once again, ASIO4ALL and similar may help a bit with latency, it still will not sound good. Guitar impedance requires a Hi-Z/Instrument input for proper impedance matching, there's no way around that with a built-in line input on a computer.

  • @varun10051994 Buy the StealthPlug...

  • im getting a very nasty buzzing sound in amp3 :(

M using fast track pro 24bit/96Hz interface

  • @minaamq That's not normal. You can see (or hear, I suppose) that it sounds wonderful with the proper settings. Please contact support directly and they will help you out.

  • @ikmultimedia ok i will

  • @minaamq r u using an instrumental cable or a speaker cable... Speaker cable is unshielded and lots of buzzzzz, also if u got single coil pickups they buzz if ur too close to ur pc, power supply, outlet...

  • @minaamq hey jst increase dt noise gate settings......it will kill dt buzzing soung...:)

  • This is my favorite program

  • That's what I used before? You have to fill out all that info and then email them. Is that what your talking about? Do they have instant messaging or a way I can actually have a conversation with someone?

  • Can you please let me know how to direct message support? I will try that and hope it works

  • @Monox602 Go to our web site and click on Support which is near the top under the logo. Thanks!

  • Yea I've tried that with no luck. Ive purchased over 500.00 worth of software and I can't get any help or answers??

  • @Monox602 They answer all tickets. Please provide your ticket number via direct message to us and we'll have them sort it out. Our tech support is very responsive and knowledgeable and can help you.

  • Can someone please tell me why when I update my original version of amplitube 3 to the current update I loose all my presets from the preset exchange? Also I can't load any of my old or new patches from the preset exchange? Ik doesn't have any phone number to call for help either. Super frustrating!!!

  • @Monox602 Tech Support will sort you out. You can contact them directly from our web site

  • will this work with M-Audio fast track interface?

  • @minaamq It will work with an interface with an instrument/Hi-z input

  • @minaamq I bought an M-Audio Fast Track and it didn't work with Amplitube 3 for some strange reason. It doesn't connect with the output signal from the program. I returned it and got a StealthPlug instead. Buy it, I highly recommend it.

  • Great sounds.

  • what´s the difference with GUITAR RIG ? anyone ?

  • @corporacionmonstruo For me, it's better then GR because it has better dynamics, compressor and tubescreamer stomps among others are excellent, best I've heard in modelers, and clean tones, along side with spring reverb are excellent. All in all, great amps, all you need in one package, and custom shop is updating. I'm using several different modelers and this one proves the most frequent in use.

  • hey,

I'm very pleased by all the products of ikmultimedia, it rocks ! \m/

I use amplitube metal and amplitube 3, great tone

currently, i connect my guitar with a 1/8 to my line in of my sound card

now, I'm looking for a good interface to record with a good quality

but can u tell me which soundcard/interface will have the proper circuitry to handle the signal correctly and to get a clean sound with a powerfull gain

    I use a guitar with passive pick-ups

plz reply, and thx in advance

    cheers

  • Do this program have set tones like Pod Farm? On that I can choose, for example, Sweet Child O' Mine, and my guitar will sound like Slashs in that song.

  • @iwillownyourface There are many presets inspired by great tones from songs/artists and you can fine many more at the Preset XChange that is free on our site

  • So, how I connect my guitar to pc? With a 1/4->1/8 cable?

  • @eimaiokalyteros You should use an audio interface with a proper Hi-Z/Instrument input. A simple cable will not have the proper circuitry to handle the signal correctly. We make interfaces, and you can also check at your local music store.

  • @ikmultimedia Do you have to buy the Stealth usb plug in? or you can get anyone for a cheaper price and it would still work?

  • So will a USB to 6.35mm jack work?

  • @Ashweedy Not if it doesn't have circuitry to do impedance matching, etc. That's why we made StealthPlug. You need an audio interface, even if it is built into the cable like StealthPlug. It is very reasonably priced, and you get quality audio. A direct connection without the proper circuitry will sound pretty horrible, to be honest.

  • @ikmultimedia where do i connect the miniplug? input or micro?

  • @madara435 If you have StealthPlug it is USB. If you have a different audio interface check the documentation for that interface. If you are using a straight cable, that's not recommended - it doesn't have the proper circuitry to convert a guitar signal and will sound pretty horrible to be blunt.

  • hello im seriously considering buying this software. what will I need to setup the software? what materials will i need? what kind of program will need to be on my computer for this ? any answers will be appreciated

  • what is the connector between my guitar and the PC ??? to make amplitube run ??

  • @radwanfbi You need an audio interface with Hi-Z/Instrument input. We have a few, including StealthPlug and StealthPedal that work very well

  • how do you get the custom shop if you have purchased the full amplitube 3??

  • @KG739 Click on the Custom Shop icon in the top right of AmpliTube to access the Custom Shop.

  • @ikmultimedia it isnt there :( , i installed it before the custom shop was released

  • @KG739 You can download it from our site. Make sure you keep your AmpliTube updated and you will have the latest fixes and the latest cool features and gear like Custom Shop.

  • There is only one problem with this software now: i'm out of cash!

  • It would be great if I can actually get an MP3 track to run at the same time so I can jam to

  • Would it be possible to use the Zoom G3 as a guitar-to-PC interface to use amplitube?

  • @markat123 If it is an ASIO-compliant audio interface it would be possible. If you can use it with DAW software (like Cubase, Logic, etc) you would be able to use it with AmpliTube

  • Could i use amplitube 3 to use as sort of a "pedal" to get routed to my amp to get all these sounds "live"??? i'm using a Line 6 pod ux1. it had two analog outputs on the back (left & right).

  • Amplitube Rocks more, how do I know because I buy IK Multimedia software.

  • would a 4gb macbook pro running ableton have enough to also run this? apologies if this is a dumb question, I am a novice. Also, does the Fender and Jimi Hendrix packages come with the whole Amplitube 3 package?

  • @mertles02 Take a look at the system requirements on our site but that sounds like it would run it just fine. The Jimi models are in AmpliTube 3 full version but Fender is a separate package... If you install Fender after AmpliTube 3, it will be integrated into AmpliTube 3 and you can take advantage of all the great features in AmpliTube 3 that are not in the base Fender package too

  • @ikmultimedia thanks!

  • Is it possible to use 2 amps at the same time?

  • @96Guitarshredder96 Yes, there are multiple routing options - you can do a complete dual rig with ease!

  • How stable is the software? I've used other amp modeling software before, but only in the studio. If something goes wrong, it's no biggie. What if I were to use this live on a well maintained laptop? I also DJ using Torq by the way, and my laptop dual boots with a Windows install ONLY for that. I didn't even install the network card drivers. I want to keep that installation clean.

  • @Ali3nat0r Very stable, the bassist for Dave Matthews Band uses AmpliTube for live shows to thousands each year. Others do too. Thanks! Please contact support for any install questions of a technical nature like you have.

  • untill 0:10 it sounds like a rap :D

  • Is it possible to just use a 1/4 to 1/8 converter??

  • @Gtrversion1point0 To go straight into your computer? That would result in a pretty poor sound. Guitar and bass require impedance matching though a Hi-Z/Instrument input to get the right signal into the computer

  • @Gtrversion1point0

Yes just make sure you have the correct mono to stereo and use some sort of preamp, either a pedal or even your amp with all the tones turned to zero. If you plug straight in it will sound very weak.

  • @Gtrversion1point0 Dont listen to him.

If you have a HiFi card like an Audigy FX line, or studio sound card your fine.

those cards were MADE for it.

just dont throw it in the mic jack :P

you use the LinIn or "Studio" jack that some have.

  • I have a doubt about how Amplitube fits the screen. I saw it working in a 14" screen hp pavilion under windows 7 and noticed that there weren't a "full screen" mode. I'm planing to buy a macbook and amplitube 3, so I want to ask wich screen size is the best or minimum to use Amplitube 3 comfortably ?

  • @sirblues You should have at least 1024x768 resolution

  • can i use my line 6 guitarport hardware for this?

  • @checkitout412 If it is an audio interface (like you'd use with your DAW) with a Hi-Z/Instrument interface it should work just fine.

  • Is it just a plug in for pre recorded tracks or can i connect my guitar to my computer and just play?

  • @ckydch There is a standalone and plugin (VST, AU, RTAS) included. If you have an audio interface with Hi-Z/Instrument input you can connect your guitar and play

  • I has more, etc.... Does it Go to 11, 20, infinity?

    Sincerely, Nigel Tufnel

  • @LetzBeaFranque "I has more, etc.... Does it Go to 11, 20, infinity?"

For some amps 10 is their infinity; it is as loud as they go.. except, hang on, you may have a point, some others do go to 11.

How can 11 be higher than infinity? IDK, maybe counting arrives at small numbers again after the increasingly bigger ones.

BTW, some modern amps go up to 6 or 8 dots. yet there are no conversion charts for dots to numbers, impossible to tell how good those are.. unless one always uses dots I suppose.

  • Although I can hear the cab simulations are pretty sweet, will Amplitube ever announce a version which can support Cab Impulses in the same vst?

  • @samathanwataguan The impulses and other methods we use in the cab simulations are painstakingly created just like the rest of the gear and with the intent to integrate tightly with the rest of the gear so that isn't something we'd be working on now at this point. Thank you for the suggestion, we do take them all into consideration.

  • You got the Vox AC130 in this?

  • @pinkfloydfannn

    you mean the AC 30?

you have to sifferent simulations of the ac 30;)

  • i have a question, Amplitube 3 already have drums presets or i need to download it?

  • theres a problem i tried to download it and it said it was installed incorrect

  • @1027christian Please contact support and they will help you out. Thanks!

  • I connect my guitar directly to integrated (motherboard) sound-card (line-in) and it sound like crap. Does it require better sound card or guitar interface like POD STUDIO?

Is it possible to play live, with no latency? Or recording only?

  • Question , when it says " 15 studio mics " Does that mean you can use that mic plugin only for vocals ? Ishimira1

  • @Ishimira1 The mics are in the Cab section of AmpliTube but you can run vocals through AmpliTube and bypass the amp section if you'd like

  • @ikmultimedia Thankyou IK ! Im definately gonna buy this program ! Love the selections of amps ! Ishimira1

  • Can u download others people settings for different sound?

  • @swaterik1986 We have a Preset XChange in your User Area on the IK site once registered.

  • Is there 60 cycle hum?

  • I AM BUYING THIS!!!

  • Just try this combination. its the very best powerful and hq sound in amplitube.

scream pedal - Fender supersonic - Metal T3 cabinet -fender compressor rack M. and then equalize ur sound.

  • if i have a really good sound card

will i need a audio interface to make amplitube sound good

or will i be fine without

what i mean is can i just use 1/4 to 1/8 cable directly plugged to my soundcard(creative sound blaster is the brand) and have it sound at least bareable

  • @AvtomatPruneJuice See my other reply. That will not do the impedance matching that an interface with a Hi-Z/Instrument input will do. Our StealthPlug is cheap as chips, you should give that a go

  • Hi Ik Multimadia i have Amplitube 3 and its better than my real amps i just want to suggest an Acoustic simulator or Preset...

  • Or they could of summed up 4:59 min to 3 sec by say "This is fucking awsome!"

  • You need to add a LOOPER effect.

  • @KZ4USA this to the max.

also, you guys should add stereo processing support for all your effects and amps as well, so instead of using separate lines, you can just run it through one.

  • I'm guessing this is only for Mac users? Does it work with the Irig?

  • @danhart87 AmpliTube 3 runs on Windows too. Please check out our site. iRig is for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch and sometimes works on some MacBook Pro and other units that have the same combined input/output but you are better with a proper audio interface on a desktop (we make three of those too - StealthPlug, StealthPedal, and StompIO)

  • how do i use this?? do i need usb something??? can i connect my guitar to sound card in order to use this?? please help..

  • @brdevilzyan You need an audio interface with Instrument or Hi-Z input

  • every time i go to play amplitube3 it only makes a buzzing noise and i cant set it up 2 use my guitar please some1 help me how do i set it up

  • @joeyjeremiah1 you need to plug your guitar in the Hi-Z/Instrument input on your audio interface and either start AmpliTube 3 as standalone or as an insert effect on an audio track in your DAW program. Contact support for specific help, as we cannot administer tech support via YouTube comment. Thanks!

  • @ikmultimedia i got it to work but i cant set the buffering in the midi settings right when i strum the guitar it will take a couple of seconds then make the guitar sound and when i put the buffer lower the guitar just buzzez

  • @joeyjeremiah1 Support is something that cannot be feasibly handled via YouTube comments. Please contact our support staff and they will help you get running.

  • @joeyjeremiah1 Same here get a horrible feedback like noise unless i turn the buffering up and then I have a huge delay.

  • @Drzronnie Why is why you should also contact support. There are many thousands using it without such problems every day

  • @ikmultimedia Oh thats ok. I will figure it out. I am just trying the demo to see if I want to buy it so I didnt want to bother support with a demo problem.

  • @Drzronnie You can, though. They also help people with demo versions too :)

  • @joeyjeremiah1 sounds like someone is using warez...smh..go buy the real thing..

  • @dopemcee how much is the real thing

  • @joeyjeremiah1 So you're not using a legal copy? Go to our site or to a dealer site/store and buy it and then we'll be glad to help you.

  • @ikmultimedia im using the demo

  • @joeyjeremiah1 Then give support a shout! Be aware of how you answered a guy asking about "those" versions though as it didn't sound good ;)

  • what is the cheapest way to plug my guitar into my computer so i can use amplitube?

  • @PaisleyFan7 a proper audio interface can be had economically. We have StealthPlug, StealthPedal, and StompIO.

  • @ikmultimedia would a Behringer UCG102 Guitar Link work?

  • @PaisleyFan7 That looks like a USB audio interface so it should.

  • this is amazing, like the best

  • Wonder if I can use my Line 6 UX2 with this.

  • is it possible to use separate preamps and power amps? (ex: preamp-wah-power amp-cab-mic)

  • hi! does amplitube 3 include the amplitube metal gear? if so, am I able to load presets from metal to 3?

  • @iDuffdabestweed if that is a proper interface that does the impedance matching required for getting a proper guitar signal into your computer then yes.

  • Hey, I bought Amplitube today, but I have a pretty bad lag between the time I strum and the time I hear the sound. Is it my sound card? Or the software?

  • @RacingRocks12 you should try installing ASIO4all, it worked for me, I don't feel any delay at all anymore

  • @RacingRocks12 download Asio sound software.. it will help you for that, then change ur setup on ampitube for Asio 2.1.. or something like that.. and there u go =) cheers, dude

  • @hoffnerbass Thanks! I'll try that and report if it fixes it. :D

  • does it work if i use any usb audio interface?

example i have a behringer guitar link will that work?

  • @MetalInstrumentals if you have an audio interface with instrument/Hi-Z input yes it will work.

  • i just installed it...

but my guitar is so crappy that the hiss is unbearable, and all the high distortion effects are unusable.

    :(

  • @odinmp5 Make sure that you are using a Hi-Z/Instrument input on your audio interface and that the levels are set correctly. You could contact support for more help to make sure you have everything working correctly since it could be the audio interface setup and other settings instead of the guitar (or it could be helped with better setup and settings)

  • @ikmultimedia

i have an allen and heath wiht a fender squier connected in the hi-z input.

    mixer= great amplitube= superb.....

    my guitar sucks...

    any ideas??

  • @odinmp5 What does your guitar sound like through a real amp? If it sounds fine through a real amp, then it sounds like there's something wrong with your gain staging, make sure your volume knobs on the guitar are all the way up, and that the level you're feeding your DAW isn't too hot (loud) and that the software input level isn't set too high. It could even be that your pickups are amplifying the hiss from your computer or something...

  • I can't get right with MIDI learn function, though I have 3.02 version, Urgh, quite frustrating.

I really really hope IK Multimedia will fix it soon.

  • @ransisua Support can help you as MIDI learn is working, and they can get to the bottom of what isn't working in your particular environment.

  • Does AmpliTube work together with th recording software?

Can I also use it program of that kind as a plugging, to put effects on previously recorded track?

  • @WingedS777 Yes it works as a plugin in your recording software that supports VST, AU, or RTAS. You can use it as an insert effect on any track, yes.

  • @WingedS777 Yes. I have used it on Adobe Audition and now on Cubase.

    On Cubase it works great.

  • Comment removed

  • i know that "100W 6L6V" power amp is based on the Peavey® 5150® 100W head, would anyone know what the "V" stands for and what brand of tubes was in the 5150 that they modeled?

  • @xntrickk "V" is just an indicator that differentiates the type of equipment if there are multiple types of the same thing (just like the cabinets in Metal did this the same way). The tubes would be the same brand that were in the actual amp.

  • Just a question, where can i find presets for Amplitube 3?? is there any forum or presets on your website?? specified for sharing presets????

  • @SatanKreator Log on to our site and in your User Area you'll see a link to Preset XChange (and there's a link directly from the program itself). Log in and the world of presets is your oyster.

  • best amp simulator ever, thanks IKmultimedia

  • I really hope that this is coming to Android. With the market percentage of Android rising every day, AmpliTube would cover a huge percentage of smart phone owners.

  • @XSafire This is the Mac/PC version. If you look at our AmpliTube iRig playlist you'll find the iPhone version. We're currently looking at the platform but do not have any versions for Android.

  • Does this also work for ipod touch? How long will it be before it's released for android? Thanks

  • @Azrael888 We have AmpliTube for iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch in the App Store. This is AmpliTube 3 for PC/Mac. You can also get our AmpliTube iRig adapter for getting your guitar plugged into your iPod Touch. The quality is different due to having to code for the platform, but look for a big increase in quality on the mobile side from us soon!
