  • I think the airwaves need to be cleaned up in general

  • No offense meant by this comment, but it seems to me that what is good for the goose is good for the gander. By this I am not saying that he should be given the right to degrade these women- not to mention their race- but, rather, the right to free speech that we are all entitled. If certain entertainers are able to speak these thoughts, then everyone should be granted the same freedom, whether they be right or wrong.

  • I understand how you feel about the perceived racial element. Rather than say they were "ghetto" or "not cute" or "tough looking broads" or whatever superficial judgement he had he got all "hip" and 50 Cent and used the term "nappy headed hoes". This is the "lingo" kids and apparently even old white guys like Imus adopt commonly and off-handedly without thought when speaking casually. So there is a point to be made there.

  • The other fool who misquoted the wrong Spike Lee movie and refered to a scene about The Jigaboos Vs The Wannabes in "School Days" (which he thought was "Do The Right Thing" so shows how well he understood the movie) was making much more inflammatory commentary. He should definately be fired. Imus was careless and ignorant but not intentionally malicious whereas that man was.

  • These are SPORTSWOMEN. What have their relative looks got to do with their abilities to play the game, compete and win? And girls don't assess each other's sporting abilities on looks on a basketball court I should assume. The men commenting assume they do.

  • I think the issue was sexism and not racism here. If you listen to it he is saying that the Rutgers girls were tatooed etc implied that they are tough, hard and "ghetto" and he summised that the Tennesse ladies (who were to quote him "cute")would have started out the game feeling intimidated.

  • Maurice, you are so right. Imus had to go. Not just for this incident, but for his body of work. What Imus did was so hurtful to these children. What about their parents? I will say though, that this double standard needs to be corrected. The rappers and all the other 'entertainers' who, because of their color think they have a free ticket to make racist remarks, should also consider the example that they are setting. They need to stop also. Keep up the good work. - Steve

  • I'm going to have to disagree with the inclusion of Rap Artist(s) who use sex as their objectivity to make a living until young bruthas and sistahs stop emulating what they see on tv & bringing it to the streets. And parents for enabling their children to have access to such entertainment. Art immitates life. Oh, by the way, I'm Black.

  • I am torn. On one end, I agree that Mr. Imus gets whatever is coming to him fornot controling his tongue. On the other hand, I am embarrassed by the double standard that is obviously in effect. This is not the worst of words ever said...not worst than what comes from our own.

  • here's what he was thinking: "if i say this, it will cause a storm of controversy and everyone on youtube and in the media will talk about it and i can leverage my currency of recognition." well put, mozz, as always. snakes are snakes.

  • I agree. Good vlog.

  • Thanks my sentiments exactly...check out my vid I did about this situation...Peace
