I would say the mytouch. someone i know has the g1 and its very bulky. and it seems to be kinda slow. besides, the mytouch is basically an updated version on the g1, right?

The biggest difference is the lack of the physical keyboard. i'm speaking for myself & sayin my mytouch is laggy & tends to freeze. i know its prolly because of apps i've downloaded but even after takin them off, reinstalling, or just unistalling completely it still runs slow. i'm ready for a new phone & i know exactly which one to get :-)

I want to change my Android for Iphone because droid lagging so bad. Even when you change the screens its slow, this phone is total embarrassing when you meet with Iphone ppl. I know that iphone sucks but at least its work smooth and nice.

....so you can customise the keyboard to however you like it. The only part that sucks about that is right now probally 60% of the themes are sports teams...but the other ones are cool. The typing aspect however right now it sometimes seems a little slow and laggy but that is because Apples multitouch was copyrighted or something and it couldnt be used anything other than an Iphone. BUT Android 2.0 Eclair should be out by the end of the year which is just like a software upgrade......

...BUT with the upgrade we will be getting multitouch, so that you can type faster and it wont lag out letters. Also we get alot of other cool things like its rumored Adobe Flash 10 so that basically the web browser will run the internet exactally as you see it on your computer. Im stoked for that. The MyTouch is a great phone, sometimes its a little laggy but nothing like in this video. But most phones can be laggy. Well I hope I answered your question.

Everyone and their mom has an iPhone these days. Just cause it's popular, doesn't mean it's better. I love how customizable the MyTouch is and I love the sleek, thin design. Plus, the camera is better than the iPhone 3GS (MyTouch 3.2 pixels, iPhone 3.0 pixels) People who talk shit about the MyTouch have obviously never used it cause it's an amazing phone.

well in my opinion... the iphone camera is much better than the mytouch. even tho the mytouch has .2mp more, the iphones camera is so clear and runs a lot better.

i have the g1, played with the mytouch in store. and i personally hate how bad the camera quality is.

i had an iphone and switched to the mytouch and like it better. I don't know what you mean by "bad camera quality" but all of the pictures i've taken with my mytouch have been crystal clear. Point is, the mytouch is customizable and the iphone isn't... which is something i prefer.

imo the mytouch has a fuzzy tint compared to the iphone camera. and the audio kinda sounds muffled on the mytouch and g1. i just really hate the camera and lack of hardware for the g1 and mytouch. i am just waiting for the tru successor to the g1 so i can pick that up... 192mb of RAM is not suitable for performance imo.

i do like the iphone,but only as a play thing and something i can use to play around with here and there, but i like flashing new roms on my g1.

The camera quality is fine, but you have to keep in mind thats just an added feature. It does everything the Iphone does and more. I upgraded my Zn5 with a 5.0 mp camera to the MyTouch 3g...Id much rather have the MyTouch than my old Zn5. Everyone has digital cameras these days anyway.

Hey, yeah I have the MyTouch 3g its a great phone. Ok the keyboard...its actually not bad really, its pretty much the same as the Iphone, when you turn it on its side it goes into landscape mode and you have slightly larger letters to type with. You can also buy an app called "Better Keyboard" but I can just send you a free one. Better Keyboard makes better use of the space, making the keys just a little bigger and easier to use. You can also put custom keyboard skins on it which is awesome.....

yeah, when your putting i any text, any time you type, it vibrates. Its called heptic feedback and you can turn it on or off, mine is off, but my wife likes to leave it on. and as for the signature, I dont see a feature on the phone for a signature, but I dont use one, I never have, if its not on the phone Im sure there is something you can download from the app market thatll let you have a signature if you want it that bad, my wife has an app that DoEs ThIs KiNd Of TeXt AuTomAtIcAlLy

@whitneystarr well the usb earphone thing its really not that bad i usually just leave my earphones connected to the connector and it doesnt really bother me, i work 10 hour overnight shifts every night so i use it alot, i mainly listen to streaming radio but you can get podcasts and mp3s ect, what do you mean abc texting? Like old style texting? yeah you can do that, but i prefer the qwerty

yeah no problem, I definately recomend the phone, any android phone pretty much, they are definately a thing of the future lol, you wont be disappointed if you get it. Alot of us are paitently waiting for android 2.0 eclair so android will have adobe flash 10 support, trust me youll want to be a part of it haha, this phone just keeps getting better and better, let everyone know how you like it once you get it!!!

This is a cool phone. I got the black one a few days ago and love it. The only problem I have is that it does not support Arabic so far. But with some help from some app, I can send and receive sms in Arabic. Overall, the phone is cool.

android is open source, has multitasking, has VAST forum on XDA where devs build custom roms.

i can use my g1 as a wifi access point so i get internet everywhere on my laptop.
