this brings back so many memories :) i was only four when this came out and it was absoulutly my favorite barbie movie of all time. i would watch it all the time and i had the doll and everything. i lost the doll years ago i was crying. this movie is still cute

I can't believe I was 8 wen this came out :) I loved this movie and the music so much. Along with "Swan Lake"

I still have my VHS and barbie doll of this. And when I was little I always wondered why they danced behind the fountain where the audience can't see them. lol

I've noticed that the barbie films have really gotten bad with the animation quality. I think it's mainly because people have really grown tired of the barbie franchise. Personally I don't find anything wrong with it, it's definitely better than the Bratz franchise.

Barbie can have an educational benefit for children by introducing them to Ballet. Often the next step is they ask to go to a real performance and if the parents want to oblige it is the first step on the journey into Culture.
